Recommended Trailer Brake Controller and 7-Way For a 2022 Toyota RAV4 Prime

Question:

Hello. Car is Toyota Rav4 Prime with 4pin trailer plug installed by Toyota. I need to pull a trailer with 7 pin plug and brakes. Can you recommend the system for me? Do i need the Curt Echo In-Line Bluetooth Brake Controller w/ one control app. Please advise. Thanks.

Personally Jay, I have never been a fan of the Curt Echo in any of its forms # C79DR, # C51180 or # C27JR. They seem to have a lot of connection issues which causes them to not perform well. As you already have a 4-way I recommend using our 7-Way Kit # ETBC7 which provides you with a connector which plugs into your 4-way and the wiring for a charge line and Brake Controller # RED52VR. This Redarc controller has a small dash mounted knob which is easy to use and the proportional braking means you will not have to fiddle with the adjustments constantly like other cheaper controllers.
