Forget about bulky boxes under the dash or tangled wires. The Curt Echo In-Line Bluetooth Brake Controller connects through your 7-way and pairs to your phone using the OneControl app. Once paired, you adjust braking power, sensitivity, and manual override right on your screen. It even saves multiple trailer profiles so you can switch setups fast. If your Bluetooth connection drops, it keeps working with the last settings for safe, consistent braking.

This controller installs right at the rear of your vehicle using USCAR connectors—no splicing or drilling required. The compact box mounts under the bumper with zip ties or adhesive pad and doesn’t clutter up your cabin. A built-in 3-axis accelerometer allows mounting at any angle and automatically senses direction of travel for smooth proportional braking.
With its internal accelerometer, the Echo matches trailer braking to your vehicle’s deceleration—light pressure for gentle stops, firm pressure for quick ones. That proportional response eliminates the push-pull feeling of time-delay controllers and reduces wear on tires and brakes. It works with electric trailer brakes on trailers with 1 to 4 axles (8 brake assemblies).
This unit is built to handle the elements with a waterproof enclosure, reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. It’s compatible with ABS brakes, cruise control, low-voltage wiring, and PWM systems. The base measures 5-1/8" wide with brackets, 4-1/4" wide with plug, and stands 1-7/8" high—small enough to stay out of sight but tough enough to handle years of towing.
The OneControl app ties everything together. Use it to manage this brake controller or pair separately sold add-ons like True Course sway control (C94VV) and Tire Linc TPMS (C54VV). With everything on one screen, you get real-time feedback and a complete view of how your trailer is performing—all from your phone.

That shouldn't be happening. This usually indicates an electrical or installation issue rather than the sensitivity setting itself. With this also being plug and play, I doubt it is an installation issue, but it does need to be mentioned. Here is a few things I would check: -Test for shorts on the vehicle 7-way and trailer 7-way. -Test each trailer brake for shorts. -Make sure each trailer brake has its own separate ground. -Try the Echo on another trailer to isolate if the issue is trailer or controller related. -Update the Curt Echo app (sometimes firmware updates fix calibration bugs). If all that is good, you may have gotten a defective one. It's rare, but it does happen. If that is the case, let me know.

A year later I’m very happy with this Bluetooth trailer brake controller. No question this is the only real option for a modern vehicle, as you don’t have to drill holes and mount anything under the dash. It was very easy to setup, and was totally plug and play. Price is very high compared to the previous generation of brake controllers, but it’s worth it. This is the way.
