Parts Needed to Install Wireless Brake Controller 2020 RAV4 Hybrid and 2021 RAV4 Prime

Question:

Double header question! What parts do you recommend for a 2020 RAV4 Hybrid with a factory installed 4 pin receiver that needs to be upgraded to a 7 pin? What harness do your recommend for a 2021 RAV4 Prime that has both a 4 pin and 7 pin connector? Which wireless brake controllers work well? Would using one make the wiring of the 7 pin plug easier? Detailed instructions for both would be especially helpful. Since the 12v battery is in the back Im hoping that the 2020 RAV4 modification will be easy.

To upgrade the 4-way of your 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid to a 7-way would require the 7-way upgrade kit part # ETBC7L which your 4-way would plug into and then the 12 volt wire would run up to the vehicle battery and it would be ready to be used with a wireless brake controller like the Curt Echo Mobile # C51180.

Since the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime already has a 7-way all you'd need is the wireless brake controller # C51180 and you'd be set.
