This piece fit my need perfectly, I use it on our motor home, drop down to tow our Equinox and the raised up for our bike carrier. Everything is secure and the finish is still looking good and rust free.
I purchased this as part of a package which included; Hitch and wiring for my 2022 Equinox, Base plate, Tow Bar, brake System and connecting air hose, break away cables, LED tow lights with wiring harness, and a trickle charger to keep the Equinox battery from going dead while I was towing it behind my class A RV.
I had etrailer do the install of all the components on my car and RV. All the workmanship was excellent and done in the amount of time they said it would take. Also because they did not have a video of this equipment being put on this year and model vehicle, I gave them permission to make a video(which added a extra day and a half to the install)and the installation was free. Everything has worked perfectly and I couldn't be happier. Etrailer is my go to for anything towing and also RV parts.

Trailer hitch was a perfect fit; however we have a problem the vehicle in the rear the hitch so low it scapes on speed bumps or with tow basket. We traveled to South Padre, Tx week later, everywhere we went we dragged the basket. Not recommend hit on this year of vehicle. We have recently removed the hitch, to put roof rack on top with a tray for future Tavel. The 2019 Chevy Equinox LT has very real low suspension vs the last few years prior vehicles sat hire.

What can I say but this was the easiest trailer hitch install I've ever done. OK, this was the third one (85 S-10 blazer, 96 Astro van, and this is the third). Our 03 Envoy (traded it in for the Equinox) and 02 2500HD (still have) both have factory hitches. It was delivered by UPS ground late afternoon and by 6:30 I had it installed. Jacked up the rear of the Equinox, placed two jack stands and followed the instructions. I will say Watch The Video for the install and it is that easy. I chose this hitch as it required no grinding or enlarging of the holes as the other hitch (Curt model). The video was spot on. I did apply some antisieze on the bolts as I always assume I will need to remove it at some future time. There was written instructions that I did look through but they matched the video. I did not use a strap to hold the exhaust as the video and the instructions showed. I used a bungy cord and adjusted it for a similar drop as a strap. I wanted to do this as I felt I may need to drop exhaust even more than the instructions as I installed this by myself. If you have an available friend it will make it easier to hold the hitch in place and start a nut on each side rather than using both hands and one leg. Working with etrailer was easy. This order was delayed by another item I had bundled together with it. The email communication from etrailer was appropriate and let me know what was going on. The delay was not a real issue as we special ordered this car and it took about 6 weeks to arrive. We keep our vehicles forever (still have the S-10 and the Astro) and I look forward to this hitch providing us years of trouble free service. I was quite impressed with the craftsmanship on this hitch, the welds were perfect. The entire hitch except where the receiver goes in is hidden behind the rear valence. Thank you etrailer!

Follow up one yesterday later, nothing to add to above review except occasionally when I am fully loaded the bottom of the receiver will drag as I go in and out of my driveway. This is because of the way the city has the curb cutfor driveways and it is abrupt. If I go out slow it doesnt it but ocasionly I will forget. When empty it doesnt do it. The hitch is sturdy enough all that has happened is paint scraped off the bottom of the receiver.
We installed our new trailer hitch today. It fit perfectly on our 2020 GMC Terrain. It took just about an hour to install. This is the forth hitch we purchased from etrailer. Each time the service, price and delivery were perfect.
All we can say is, Thank You Etrailer!

Still looks new, it has performed as expected.
The hitch went in in about an hour and only took that long because I did it myself. I would say, unless you're good with making makeshift supports with wood and using 2x4s as levers, have a helper as the video says. Speaking of videos, they were spot on. Every step was perfect. Can't express my appreciation enough. This is the 4th item I've purchased from etrailer and will continue doing so. Thanks much!
Nice solid hitch, just wish the receiver was higher so it could hide behind the removable panel on the bumper cover like the GM supplied hitches do when not in use, this feature would have been worth the extra cost.
I installed this hitch by myself yesterday and the instructions, combined with you tube videos, was adequate to complete the install. The link below is the video that was closest match to my car/model although it was useful to watch some of the others. Interestingly, I did not have to enlarge the access holes on mine, other than that it was similar to this one. I also used the jack as shown here to raise the hitch. The only reason the exhaust has to be lowered is because the hitch is wider than the gap between the two exhaust hangers. So you have to pull the facia out, get the two hanger rods out so you can slide the hitch above them.

Product is perfect for my infrequent use. The installation was exactly as described.
Excellent printable instructions and video included in your follow-up email. We used both. All parts provided even fish hooks. Installed in less than an hour. WOW, very happy with my new hitch and the time it took to install.

Great. Only thing I only use it for bicycle and skis. I should have gotten the 1.14 receiver. I live in mountainous area. With passengers sometimes it scrapes when pulling in certain streets or driveways.
As always Etrailer is excellent. I was trying to get my car dealer to install a factory hitch for a bike rack. They couldn't get it in time, so I ordered the Draw-Tite Max-Frame for my 2019 Terrain Denali. I added on for faster shipping, was expected on a Friday, it arrived Thursday! Etrailer's installation videos are awesome, very thorough and detailed. Installation was easy, and now we can carry our bikes. The hitch does hang lower than the factory hitch but this is due to the factory one mounting differently, and needing to have the entire rear facia removed for installation. So far the low height is not an issue, and the new rack we bought hold the bikes more than high enough for clearance.
Good product at a fair price, and received in a timely manner.
Will gladly recommend trailer.

5 stars with a caveat, the packaging was too weak to hold the hitch and there was some cosmetic damage, I think it is functionally okay. I will let you know when it is installed.
Easy to install the hardware has all the things you will need to get the plate and bolts installed inside the vehicle frame. I was able to install the hitch with the vehicle on the ground. However you will need to use an extra long receiver a standard receiver will not work on this vehicle. If you are planning on towing a trailer. etrailer sell a nice bike rack as shown in one of the pictures

I install the trailer hitch on the back of my equinox which is a 2018 with no problem. Looks good thank you very much
Love the hitch! It took me 2 hours to install following the how-to video. The only thing not mentioned is on the driver's side of the vehicle there are 4 holes in the frame of the vehicle and I had a bolt in the wrong place. Once I had the muffler lowered enough to get the hitch in place and start raising it up, I realized that the hole toward the front of the vehicle is not used. Now we can haul our bikes around on the back of our Terrain!
Items purchased, Draw-tite trailer hitch and Tekonsha wiring kit for our 2020 Equinox. This was my first encounter with etrailer, and I must say I was impressed. From the initial order placement, I knew where my order was while in route and exactly when it would arrive. I had previously watched the installation videos on both products and they could not have been clearer. Total time from opening boxes, to tools put away was less than 2 hours. All parts are of quality materials and fitment along with reasonable prices. While this may have been my first experience with etrailer, it certainly will not be my last. Thanks to all for making everything go smoothly.
Excellent product! Ordering was quick, easy and arrived when promised. Installation was stright forward, all holes were alined no drilling needed. It took me a bit longer than I read in other reviews; 60 minutes for me but that did include getting my tools ready and putting the Equinox on jack stands. My wife will mostly be useing this for her bike rack and small trailer towing.

Easiest install on my 2019 Chevy Equinox LT. The part is heavy, but if you have a buddy or can support it with a lift the installation is pretty easy. The video on this part page was really helpful, everything went according to plan. I didn't have an 11/16 deep socket or extensions for my 1/2" drive torque wrench, which required a couple trips to the hardware store. Otherwise, the rest was simple and straightforward.
Haven't used the hitch yet, but with a total of 6 bolts torqued to 50 ft/lbs each, I'm not concerned about my bike rack.
