This Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver is built for everyday towing and weekend trips alike. With a 4,000-lb maximum gross trailer weight and 600-lb tongue weight rating, it’s set up for light to moderate trailers, small boats, or loaded cargo carriers. The 2" x 2" receiver opening fits the most common accessories like ball mounts, bike racks, and cargo trays, so you can switch between towing and hauling without changing hardware.
You don’t need a lift or a welder to get this hitch on your vehicle. The fully welded design bolts right to existing points on the frame using the included hardware kit. That means no drilling or special tools are required. Most folks handle installs in their own driveway with basic hand tools. Precision robotic welding ensures the hitch lines up properly for an easy fit and solid hold once it’s torqued down.
The sturdy, square-tube steel construction is protected by a gloss black powder coat over a base layer that fights rust and corrosion. Whether it’s road salt in the winter or damp conditions near the water, this finish helps keep the hitch looking good and performing strong over time.
With a standard 5/8" pin hole, this receiver works with most hitch pins, locks, and accessories designed for Class III setups. Ball mounts, pins, and clips are sold separately so you can choose what matches your gear best. Second Curt hitch/wiring harness I've installed from etrailer and its been a perfect fit.
My only snag was that my factory bolt hole locations had rust on the threads so I jut soaked them with PB blaster and took a small wire brush to it after 10 minutes. Then I muscled it into position and bolted it all in place.
Their videos and instructions were very helpful.
Trailer hitch itself is great and fit exactly with the vehicles attachment points.
Giving 4-stars only because I cannot fit my full-sized spare, inflated, along with the hitch. I bought this because reviews stated it could accommodate a full-sized spare, but there's just barely not enough clearance. I solved this be deflating the spare to fit it in, and carry a tire inflator in case I ever need to use the spare.
Easy to install. It is nice only the hitch can be seen and the rest of the mount is hidden behind the bumper. I can finally use my bike rack on my new Sorento.
Great hitch! Installed on a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid. The video on the website was clear and spot-on as far as how to install it. My son-in-law and I installed it in less than an hour, no lift like in the video. Backed the car on to ramps and it was no problem. You have to lower the muffler to install the hitch and put it back which was a lot easier than I expected. (Held it up with a jack stand.) The hitch fits perfectly!

Mounted to 2026 Santa Fe Hybrid. Very happy with trailer hitch and have only experienced good results with trailer attached.
This Curt hitch is a high quality piece that installed in less than an hour start to finish. The instructions are easy to follow, the bolts and washers are included, and the fit is well integrated with our 23 Hyundai hybrid. Put it to the test the very next day towing a 10 foot enclosed trailer.

My opinion of the Curt hitch on our 23 Santa Fe hybrid has not changed. It has been used to haul a 10 foot enclosed trailer on several occasions and is solid and reliable. I highly recommend it.
Simple to install. Of course that depends on the vehicle.. fits properly below the bumper with no cutting. I put red thread lock on all the bolts.. just habit. Wd40 on the exhaust hangers makes it simple. Wire kit plugs in, trailer plug reached fine. It's only been installed for 18 hours so I haven't hooked up to it yet.. Can't imagine there would be a problem.
Installation was as promised, however I had better fortune removing the exhaust hangers with my bare hands, especially the one closest to the right rear wheel. Also, sadly, while the hitch finish appears to be an excellent powder coat, my hitch suffered some damage in production which will undermine the longevity of that nice finish. The packaging is excellent and was delivered without abuse, but as you can see this hitch was marred before it was boxed.

Very easy to install hidden hitch. Instructions were easy to follow, and I had it put in in about 45 minutes without much fuss.

I with help from my son installed the hitch on my 2023 Santa Fe PHEV. etrailer didn't show a PHEV Santa Fe but I knew it would fit. We dropped the spare tire first. Backed the Santa Fe on my ramps My son disconnected the exhaust. While he held the hitch in place I started the bottom bolt on the exhaust side. We finished the install of the hitch in half an hour.
Hitch was relatively easy to install on my 2025 Kia Sorento but definitely requires 2 able bodied individuals to lift and hold it in place while mounting it from below. We used both an hydraulic floor jack to gain access and jack stands for safety. The threaded hitch pin secures the hitch in place but prevents the use of an alternative pin with a locking mechanism on the end. Overall, its a very sturdy and secure hitch.
This is the second hitch receiver that I have bought from etrailer and installed myself. It is very easy to do. The one bolt behind the exhaust hanger is a little tricky to access, but that is just the way Hyundai made it. Otherwise, very easy to locate the threaded holes and install. I was able to do this one all by myself but I would suggest getting some help to hold it up. There was no need to remove any plastic trim and the receiver is tucked in nicely. My Kuat NV 2.0 bike rack fits nicely but I needed an extension to get clearance for the inboard bike's handlebars.
This was the easiest install ever. I'm a disabled Veteran with 10 back surgeries, knee replacement and just had wrist surgery. It only took me an hour and the hardest part was lowering the exhaust. I didn't even have to jack the car up. Easy and it looks good!!
Easy instal, I did need extra hands to lift hitch receiver. The video on etrailer website was super helpful before installation. No jack was used. Installed on a base model 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid w/o spare tire.
Hitch fit like a glove on our 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe... definitely have to drop Exhaust to access passenger side mounting... three exhaust hangers... support muffler and piping... easy install
Items arrived promptly. I already had a wiring kit that I purchased from etrailer. Installed both the receiver and wiring kit in about an hour and a half. I didn’t need to jack up the car. Fit perfectly. I recommend this kit. 2021 Santa Fe.

Excellent quality receiver. Did the install in my garage on the floor without jack stands nor lift, so it can be done anywhere. The video of installation on the website provided by trailer was helpful. One tip - after getting the receiver secured with the two bottom bolts, get the 2 other bolts on the passenger side (over the muffler/resonator) installed before going to the driver side. Otherwise it was pretty easy.

Overall, very nice hitch. Watching the video from your YouTube channel specifically for my car was a tremendous value. In the video, he states that the wiring is too short. That should be addressed on the order page with an option to add the needed extension. I elected to wire my power to the battery in the rear of the vehicle, instead of running wire all the way to the front. It makes a cleaner install in my opinion. Also, I added a grommet to run the wiring from the battery compartment to the underside of the car. Photos attached. I’m pleased with the results.
