Question:

I like the high clearance of this hitch but don’t have a diesel. Will it work on the gas vehicle?

There is a trailer hitch available for your 2018 Chevy Equinox but the Draw-Tite # 76217 will NOT fit unless you have a diesel engine.

For your '18 Equinox I recommend checking out the Draw-Tite # 76419 which fits directly below your bumper; you can check out how it will look in the accompanying photo. This hitch will give you approximately 9 inches of clearance from the ground to the bottom of the receiver.

For wiring which will give you a 4-way connector and allow you to power your trailer's lights and you do NOT have the factory tow package you need Wiring Harness # 118750 unless your Equinox is the Premier model; in that case you would need # 118759.
