Question:

I believe the hitch in your video was for the 2018/2019 EQUINOX diesel. My question referred to the ground clearance for the hitch which fits a 2019 EQUINOX with the small non-diesel engine.

We had one customer come back and tell us that the safety chain loops of the Draw Tite hitch part # 76217 occasionally do drag the ground. I wouldn't say it's a huge problem though as we've sold quite a few of these hitches and only had the one customer report back that it was an occasional occurrence.

In that case the hitch you'd want is the # 76419 as the # 76217 only fits the diesel models. This is still a lower hanging hitch due to the design of the vehicle mostly, but since this one has the safety chains out to the sides of the hitch instead of below the ground clearance is a bit better. I attached a picture of what this hitch looks like as well as an install video too.
