Im looking to conferm 4 wire flat harness kit for 2022 equinox Premier. With wire harness behind bumper And both1 1/4 and 2 hitch options. Looks like it has a bumper cut out with cover for a 2. Is there an option for the cut-out vs under the bumper where the cross member of the hitch is not visible and mounted higher? Thank you.

Hi Mike; since you have the plug for the tow package behind the rear bumper on your 2022 Chevrolet Equinox Premier the correct wiring harness is the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C94FR.
None of the aftermarket hitches sit behind the bumper and make use of that cutout. However, the cross tube is only slightly visible, you're really only going to see the receiver hanging down at the back unless you are eye level with the receiver laying on the ground.
I recommend getting a Class III with a 2" receiver like # 76419. This gives you a lot of additional options for towing and accessories like bike racks. If you really want a Class II with a 1-1/4" receiver the # C98CR will sit in the same spot so you will only see the receiver hanging down at the rear.
