Features to know about

Get More Utility from Your Vehicle: Class III Strength with 2" Receiver

This hitch opens up what your vehicle can do. With a 4,500 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and 675 lbs maximum tongue weight, it’s built for towing small campers, boats, or utility trailers. The 2" x 2" receiver works great with bike racks, cargo carriers, or a ball mount. Whether you’re heading out with a trailer or loading up for a trip, the Class III rating gives you the strength and stability you need for everyday use.

Tough Finish That Hides Scratches: Matte Black Powder Coat Over Protective Base

The matte black powder coat finish over a protective base coat gives the hitch superior rust resistance and a rugged look. It doesn’t just look good—it’s practical too. The finish hides dirt, scuffs, and dings better than glossy coatings, keeping the hitch looking clean even after miles on rough roads. The round-tube design adds to the sleek appearance under your bumper while holding up to tough conditions.

Easy DIY Install: Bolt-On Design with Included Hardware

If you like turning wrenches in the driveway, this hitch is built with you in mind. It’s a fully welded design that bolts directly to the frame with no welding required. All mounting hardware and instructions come in the box, so there’s no guesswork. The bolt-on setup means you can get it installed using common hand tools without cutting or modifying the vehicle structure.

Built for Real-World Use: Precision Welding for Strength and Fit

Each weld is done robotically for precise alignment and maximum strength. That precision ensures a clean fit to the frame so everything lines up right the first time. It’s built to handle not just weekend towing but regular use—whether that means carrying bikes to the trailhead or hauling gear cross-country. The solid steel construction adds confidence every time you hook something up.

Great product bolted up easy no issues with fitment came super quick super happy.

by:

GREAT!

by:

I have not installed it yet. Everything is present and accounted for. There were a couple of places where it clawed its way thru the box. This thing is HEAVY duty. Well made, nicely finished.

by:

Perfect fitment. Easy install.

by:

Works great and sturdy

by:

Perfect fit. Two person job to lift into place at home - but straightforward install

by:

Great price, easy to install. Kit came with everything you need.

by:

Hired a pro to install - even they had a tricky time with the string bolt trick. He got it done “but took longer than expected”

by:

Love my new hitch. Pure durable quality. Took me little over an hour to install. American made. Yay!

by:

Nice looking. Installer said it was easy to install and heavy duty. He recommends etrailer to his customer's.

by:

Good quality product and easy to follow directions included. The only negative is the bag of hardware was short one coil wire needed to install the bolts. This made for an interesting challenge, but with some extra efforts I finally succeeded. The hitch quality appears to be very good.

by:

Ordering was good. The hitch arrived on time as to when they said it would arrive. The item arrived damaged. Box end was completely gone UPS had taped it up. All parts where inside.

by:

Really good quality and super easy to install. It was nice to be able to watch the quick video on the website even though I’m sure I would have figured it out. I’m 68+ and easily installed without any help like they show on the video. Definitely would recommend your company to anybody looking to install a hitch.

by:

The part’s feet perfect thank you for you’re help E trailer know there stuff

by:

Third time I've ordered from etrailer. All 3 times I have been pleased with both the quality of the product, well made, study, and the speed of delivery. I will recommend etrailer to anyone who is looking for a great product. I ride a bicycle and use the hitch with my bike rack to transport my bike from the house to the GAP bike trail. Have done 3 trips from Washington DC to Pittsburgh as well as from other area trails and have never had a problem with the hitch or the rack which I also bought from etrailer. I order one bike more than what I plan to carry, i.e. Plan on 3 bikes, order a 4 bike rack. I am very satisfied with my purchases.

by:

Hitching instruction videos was excellent but the hardware came in slightly bigger than the hole that you had to feed it through. So luckily I had a grinder I could grind the parts down to make it fit

by:

I will continue to be a repeat customer at etrailer!
Fit and finish are great. Installation was straightforward like other hitches I’ve purchased from e trailer in years past. The only downside is that the hole to feed the bolts and brackets in requires some widening in order to fit the hardware in. It would be nice if that weren’t the case but it only adds a little time to the otherwise simple install with hand tools.

by:

The product itself fit nicely, but the Bolt Heads and Rectangle spacers did not fit in the Holes they need to go through to fish them to the mounting holes. I had to drill the holes bigger. The bolt heads needed to be smaller and the Rectangle washers needed to be narrower.

For this hitch you will need to enlarge the hole to pass the hardware through typically using a die grinder. I recommend watching the video install that we have on a 2022 Chevy Equinox and paying attention at timestamp 8:23.

by:

I was in need of a strong and sturdy trailer hitch receiver to transport my Electric Bike. Having bought from e-trailer before and knowing they made exceptionally fine products, they came through again with a fine piece to mount on our 2024 Chevy Equinox. Not only was their hitch beautifully made, they offered a very reasonable price.

by:

Well-built maybe a little too heavy duty for the GMC Terrain. However its better than to weak.

by:

My husband and I LOVE this hitch. They're fantastic. Not only are they super sturdy and well built, but they're so easy to install. Etrailer makes videos that are easy to follow and lets anyone, regardless of mechanical experience/ability, to install their own hitch.

by:

Showed up on time. Everything was just as advertised. The installation video was very helpful except......when using your finger to try and get the fish wire thru the large hole, I used a magnet wand. NO bleeding!! I'll and the photo.

by:

The box came pretty destroyed, but that, sure as heck, wasn`t going to hurt this heavy-duty hitch, I`ll be installing it this weekend.
looks pretty stout, I`m happy

by:

Watched the U tube video which was very straight forward and extremely helpful. Well done!!
This is the second hitch I have installed on two completely different vehicles and they were very satisfied with the results.
One major note: The box that the hitch came in was destroyed and taped back up by Fed Ex. Might want consider packaging it better or have a talk with the freight companies

Product still working well with no issues

by:

The packaging was poor. The shipping box for the hitch was not adequate. The hitch had punctured the box on both sides. That be said, the receiver end had a few scratches. I quick video for the Chev Equinox not the Electric version would have been helpful. As I had to widen one hole on each side to get the bolt head and metal plate through in on each side. Dropping the exhaust was a must to get it in place. It is in and looks good.

Hey Josh, thanks for reaching out! The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e59ZR won't require you to do any cutting or trimming, but you will need to do a type of drilling to install it on your 2025 Chevy Equinox. There is an access hole you'll need to enlarge a little to get the hardware into your frame but it's pretty minimal and is accomplished with a rotary tool. I'm attaching an installation and photo of this hitch on a 2024 Equinox for you to check out.

Hey Sam, thanks for all of the information! I used to own an Equinox, and from personal experience I recommend using the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e59ZR. The hidden crosstube feature is pretty standard for hitches nowadays, but what really stood out to me about this hitch is the matte black finish. It looked tough, but also blended in really well with my bumper so it wasn't an eyesore when I wasn't using it. We haven't had a chance to install this on a 2026 model yet, but Ryan...

Hey Dennis, For a 2024 GMC Terrain I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e59ZR. It has a 4,500lb GTW / 675lb TW rating which is well over your vehicle's towing capacity so you'll want to make sure you stay under your Terrain's capacity while towing. For the wiring I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness...

They have the same fit, the same towing capacity, and install the same way on your 2026 Chevy Equinox RS. The biggest difference is the finish.
