RV Steps with Snap-On Step, 24 inch wide

Dial in your entry with a snap-on step that lets you mount right where you need it. The 24 inch wide step gives you broad, sure footing for a steady climb in and out of your RV. A straightforward choice when you want solid feel without overcomplicating your setup.
Yes. If the mount area is fiberglass and foam, through-bolt with a backing plate and use self-locking nuts to secure the bracket. If the bracket has more holes than the included hardware, add fasteners to fill open holes for extra security. Check for a solid top connection to avoid a gap at the top step that would require modification.
These steps typically attach to the camper body, not the tailgate. If you plan to use a tailgate, measure from the top of the tailgate to the ground to confirm the step height. Check space for the mounting bracket and holes. One tailgate bracket measures about 18 1/8" wide with pins 15" apart center to center, so verify clearance before drilling.
Measure from the mounting point to the ground to match the step height. If your only mounting height is 43-44", pick a setup that reaches that range. Consider any existing step 11" below the mount and protruding 7", since it can change the angle and landing. If you want to limit size and weight, a shorter set may work if the height measurement supports it.
A wider step can make climbing easier for large dogs and people with mobility concerns. Look for low rise and non-slip tread to improve footing. Adding grab bars at the doorway can help with stability. If you need a handrail, consider a porch-style step with integrated handrails instead of a scissor step.
