I gave this a 4 star cuz it looked to be well made. However, for my Palomino HS-750, it did not work. On my truck camper, there is only about 1" below the bottom of the door and the bracket (with hooks) is taller than that. So, this unit did not work for me. Note to the wise... I bought this w/o talking to anyone at etrailer cuz it seemed straight forward and I've always had good luck at etrailer. And though when I called about the fit issue they said they had never heard of that issue before, I had to pay for return shipping because I didn't talk to someone live. So, be smarter than me- call them and ask about fitment (in my case they clearly would've said it's OK since no one had ever had the issue before) but return shipment would've been free (I think).
Excellent quality, love the grip tape and wider than standard stairs. Worked great for our truck camper in a lifted 2500 Ram (2.5" lift with 35" tires).

These steps are great. Due to my campers configuration, it is from the 60's, I had to modify the mounting bracket but after an hour all was good. I would recommend these to anyone needing a stable, compact and easy to store set of steps.
The service at etrailer was fantastic.
Turns out this was a replacement for a 4 step version. But 5 steps were too long for my truck camper. So we use them down at our creek swimming hole. Nice as they can be folded out in the spring and folded up and put away in the fall. Only complaint is the rivets at the pivot points are steel and corrode/rust. It would be nice if they were stainless or cast aluminum.
I've been using these on my camper for the six months and they have been great! The steps function well, are easy to store and install. My only complaint is that the galvanized bracket that the stairs hang from when installed has already started to rust which is a little disappointing.
I submitted a review on my purchase, but I wanted to tell you the story of these stairs. I installed them in my parents house. My parents are getting older (in their 80's) and needed a safer way to get in and out of their attic space. Before the scissor stairs, they were using a step ladder and seemed a bit unsafe. These stairs are perfect for my parents...easy to expand and mount (two person job for them) and the railing is perfect. light weight and very sturdy! I only posted the photo of the stairs but wanted you to see my parents in action. They are soooo happy.
I have purchased items from etrailer in the past, but this is by far the best purchase I have ever made.
Quality of build and materials look great. Only issue I have, is with how they pack/ship their product inside the cardboard box. There is absolutely no support or added protection to surround the product itself. So naturally, the rough handling during transport, caused the mounting bar to be bent at some point. It’s aluminum, so it was easy to bend back into its nearly normal state, but there should be something……ANYTHING!!!
Wish we had purchased these steps years ago! I had been contending with flimsy slippery steps out of our slide in camper, which was challenging when I had an arm full of stuff.
These steps are stable, straight, non-slip, and long enough! Well worth the price for us!
Product works great! I had issues with the mounting bar on my camper. Not much room between the lower hatch and the door frame on my camper, but got it mounted.

I recently purchased a slide in camper and found it difficult getting up into the unit once it was on the back of the truck. I found a selection of collapsing steps offered by etrailer on the Internet. I called the company and spoke with Lindy, one of their representatives. She was very helpful in explaining the different designs, construction and extended reach of steps that were available. After a little more discussion I purchased a set of Brophy camper scissors steps for my camper. They arrived several days later as she promised. The steps, when attached to the camper are at the height I needed and being 24 inches wide gives me the feeling of stability. I couldn't be more pleased with the help I received from Lindy, and in the product that I received. It was a pleasant experience. I will recommend doing business with them to my friends and family.

Easy install. Solid product. Had to drill a couple extra holes due to alignment on my set up but overall it was easy. I told my sig. other that "I wish everything on this camper build out was as easy as the stair install". Needed the 5 step version. I thought the price was steep at first. After working on the buildout and realizing how much I have to do from scratch, a 30 minute "whoop your done" was in retrospect, well worth the $.
It will do the job great, only problem with it was the bar that goes on the ground was bent, I fixed it.
The stairs are an excellent design and manufacturer, and made of high quality materials. Highly recommend this product. Easy to use, sturdy, easy to store.

Wow! That's an amazing view you captured, Pamela. Looks like you head to a lot of great spots with your truck camper. Where was this taken?
Nicely made, I have fabricated many items including tilt bed trailers and I think this is well made, the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because they need to do do more research on different applications, this camper only had fiberglass and foam in the mount area because of the insulated basement, I through bolted it with a plate on the back for washers, and added self locking nuts. I included a picture of the camper in my home shop.

Great stairs, we really like them so far. Pretty pricey but we had no option, we wanted something that was going to last a long time. We have a Ram 2500. They were easy to install, I did it myself. It was a little frustrating that they only came with 4 lag screws given I bought the AS25 that’s rated for 300lbs. I went to the store and bought another screw just for a little more reinforcement. I’m only 125lbs but the stairs are heavy, I don’t want that bracket pulling out over time.
I would’ve rather gone with the AS 24 instead of the AS25 but we had no options with the height of our truck we needed something longer than 40”.
