I can only really say that this wire loom does its intended job. Keep in mind, if you intend to put more than 3 wires in it or hope to fit wire splices into it, size up to a bigger diameter. I used a closed end socket wrench to force the wire into the split as the loom was pretty stiff 721706

Great for organizing wires. Good quality loom with split to help make the installation easy. The split stays closed but I also periodically wrapped it along the length with cable ties and to attach it to structure to make a neat install. I keep a stash in different sizes so I always have something on hand for various wiring projects. 896499

One year ago, I installed the wire loom to contain and protect the trailer light wires on my newly restored 1969 boat trailer. They provide a professional finished look to the wiring job. They were easily installed from connector and down the frame. I would recommend and purchase again. 837223

Kip, thank you for your review. If you are looking for a larger diameter wire loom I recommend part # 459075-1
Wire Loom, 1/2" Diameter (per Foot)
$2.38
. This wire look is 1/2 which is the size we normally use on our installs. This is sold by the foot, to get the length you need.

  • Wire Loom Clamp To Use with Wire Loom, 3/8" Diameter 39035
The outer diameter of the 3/8 inch inner diameter wire loom part # 39035 that you referenced is 1/2 inch. So for clamps you'd want the 1/2 inch clamps part # A0500.

  • What is the Inside Dimension of Hopkins 3/8 Inch Wire Loom and is it Split Down One Side
I went out to the warehouse and pulled a Hopkins Wire Loom, # 39035, to take some measurements for you. The 3/8 inch diameter is the inside diameter of the loom. And it is already split the entire 10 foot length of the loom so you would not have to fish wires through it.

  • Parts Needed To Replace Trailer Wiring
When people replace wiring that is run inside a channel or frame they will attach the new wiring to the end of the wire they want to replace and pull it carefully from the other end. If you are unable to pull the wire, you can use a fish wire to try and run the wiring through the frame. This can be tough depending on the frame or channel. Another method is to run new wiring on the outside of the trailer frame. You can use a wire loom to protect the wires from being damaged. Or you cold...

  • What Size Clamp to Use for 3/8" and 1/2" Size Wire Loom
You should be able to use the same size clip as the inner diameter of the wire loom. For example, the 3/8" Diameter Wire Loom # 39035 has grooves in it that would allow you to use a 3/8" inner diameter clamp. Same thing goes for the 1/2" Wire Loom # 459075-1 or # 459075.

  • Inside and Outside Diameter of Wire Loom, 3/8" Diameter # 39035
The inside diameter of the Wire Loom, 3/8" Diameter # 39035 is 3/8 inch and the outside diameter is 1/2 inch.

  • What Gauge Wire Can the 3/8 Inch Wire Loom Hold?
3 gauge wire is about 0.229 inches in diameter, so Wire Loom 3/8" Diameter like # 39035 will give it enough space for safety without further restricting the wire for heat dispersion. It will also avoid pinching or crimping the wire. You can use the Metal Loom Clamp - 1/2" # A0500 to secure it if desired. Technically this loom could hold up to 00 gauge wire (0.365 inches diameter).

  • Recommended Wiring Junction Box For Utility Trailer
If you are wanting to secure the wiring on your trailer and keep it secure I recommend using a wiring junction box like part # 38656 on your trailer. You can place the junction box on the tongue of your trailer and run the wires from the trailer into one side of the box and on to the terminals. Then attach the trailer connector with wires cut to the appropriate length to the matching wires on the terminals inside the box and extend it so you can attach it to your vehicle. You want...

  • How to Rewire Vintage Trailer with 7-Way Connector and Parts Needed
Most of us aren't electricians, but that doesn't mean wiring a trailer is beyond us. It will take a little bit of time, but I wouldn't consider it a difficult DIY project by any means. So, to wire your 1977 Serro Scotty vintage camper, I recommend using the following parts: - Mighty Cord 7-Way RV-Style Trailer Connector # A10-7W6 (6 ft long) - this is a high quality molded trailer connector with corrosion resistant terminals. - etrailer Trailer Wiring Junction Box - 7 Terminal # e99009 ...

  • What is the Best Size Wire Loom for Bonded 4 Wire and One 12 Gauge Wire
I would go with a 3/8 inch diameter, like # 39035. That should provide enough space for the wires and still give good coverage. This loom comes in a 10 foot length. If you needed less of expect that you might have other wiring to run with the existing wires, you can go to a 1/2 inch loom, sold in 1 foot increments, # 459075-1.

  • Wiring and Lighting Component Recommendations to Re-Wire Tandem-Axle Car Hauler Trailer with 7-Way
A junction box like the Spectro # 38656 is a perfect way to re-wire your tandem-axle car hauler. This box provides plenty of room inside its weather-proof housing to make all of your lighting, 12V and brake signal connections. Please refer to the linked video. We use this box on just about all of our in-house re-wiring jobs. You'll also want to use ring terminals like 3M part # 44-5310A for all of the junction box connections; these will both save you time and provide longer-lasting...

We do offer 4-pole wishbone wiring harnesses like # A35W42B and jacketed 4-pole wire such as # DW04923-1. We do not have a jacketed wishbone 4-pole trailer harness but you can certainly provide protection to a 4-pole wishbone harness - and keep the ability to run the separate running light wires to each side of the trailer - by using wire loom like # 39035 which is sold in 10-foot lengths.

  • Hitch & Wiring for 2017 Toyota Sienna Towing Boat Trailer
All versions of the 2017 Toyota Sienna have a towing capacity of 3500-lbs so your new vehicle is up to towing your 3000-lb boat and trailer. Do note that all auto makers recommend not towing anything for the first few hundred miles on the car to allow for proper break-in without putting extra stress on the vehicle. Draw-Tite Class III hitch # 75237 is an excellent choice since it offers a 4500-lb capacity, providing a healthy safety margin. For a wiring harness part # 118498 is a fine...

  • Tips for Routing a Power Wire from the Battery to Trunk for Trailer Wiring on a 2011 Buick Lacrosse
There are a few methods that people use when they need to run a power wire from the vehicle battery to the rear of the vehicle. One method involves routing the wire as much as possible through the frame. What you would need to do first is determine if the frame has a hole in which a wire can be run and if there is space enough for it. You would need a long rigid and skinny object, like a coat hanger to run through the frame, tie off the wire to it, and then pull it back through. This...

  • Compatibility Of 1/2 Inch Loom Clamps With 3/8 Inch Loom
Yes, you can use Metal Loom Clamp - 1/2" # A0500 with Wire Loom 3/8" Diameter # 39035. It will secure the loom to your frame but it will not clamp tightly around it. If you want a tight fit at the clamps you can use 3/4" x 60' Electrical Tape to close the loom at that location and make it your desired thickness for clamping. If you want a perfect fit, I recommend the Wire Loom, 1/2" Diameter (per Foot) # 459075-1.

If you can help me with drum/hub dimensions, I can see what we have that may be compatible with your specific trailer. For instance, if you have 12-1/4 x 3-3/8 inch drums, then the Electric Trailer Brake Kit w/ Dust Shields - Self-Adjusting - 12-1/4" - Left/Right Hand - 10K # AKEBRK-10 would be a great option....

Your 2014 Jeep Wrangler JK does not have a plug-in brake controller port under the dash so wiring in a controller like the Prodigy P3 # 90195 will require hardwiring. We offer a complete installation kit # ETBC7 that includes all the parts needed, including a 7-way. Although you have a 7-way socket now, its not a bad idea to have a spare on hand. • Troubleshooting Trailer Tail Light That Stays On With Trailer Uncoupled and Wiring Disconnected
Since your trailer lights are getting some power even when the trailer is not hitched and not connected to the tow vehicle wiring this tell us that one of the batteries on the trailer, either the auxiliary battery for the lights or the breakaway battery for the trailer's electric brakes, is somehow leaking power to the lights. Most likely there is a short on the power leads to one (or possibly even both) of the trailer batteries. You can inspect all of the breakaway and auxiliary batteries'...

For your application, I recommend the 5th Wheel and Gooseneck 90-Degree Pigtail Harness w/ 7-Pole and Mounting Bracket - 7' Long # 51-97-407.
