Looking for recommendation of trailer hitch and wiring harness for my 2026 Kia SPORTAGE Hybrid . Class 3 2 inch.

Hey Robert! For a hitch I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C94WR. This is a Class 3 hitch with a 2" receiver and a bolt-on installation. The Trailer Mate # TMT56FR you looked at is also made by Curt, and isn't quite as robust. This is geared towards accessories, and since you want wiring as well I'm guessing you plan on towing, so the # C94WR is worth the extra money.

Then for wiring you need the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236. There are no custom wiring harnesses at this time, so the universal harness is the only option. Both the wiring and the hitch are compatible with the hybrid model.

Installed the hitch by myself in the driveway, no lift. Used jack stands to help hold in place. Everything fit PERFECTLY. Whole process took about an hour. Did not install the wiring harness as I won't be towing with this vehicle. Only use it for basket or bike rack.
