Expert Reply:
Both the Optronics Trailer Lights, part # STL16RB, and part # STL26RB are able to go under water.
The definition of waterproof means that the unit will not let water in after being under water for a certain period. Since both lights are LED lights, the diodes are in a sealed unit of their own, which water cannot enter. The Optronics Light # STL16RB is labeled submersible, because it has a replaceable lens, but the diodes are sealed.
Both lights can be used on trailers over 80 inches wide, and both are LED lights. Part # STL16RB uses 18 diodes, where part # STL26RB uses 14 diodes.
Since you want a light with a replaceable lens, you will want to use the Optronics Trailer Lights, part # STL16RB.
For a replacement lens for the # STL16RB light, you will need to use the Replacement Tail Light Lenses, part # A16RB.
