Optronics ST16 Series Combination Tail Light Dimensions

Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The circuit board is sealed, which means that water will not damage the diodes or circuit board.

Combination Lights for Trailers Over 80" Wide

Flatbed trailer over 80" wide with combination tail lights

If a trailer is 80" or wider at its widest point, then it requires rear clearance lights in addition to basic trailer lights. These clearance lights indicate the width of the trailer when it is viewed from the back.

To meet these requirements on a flatbed utility trailer where the bed extends past the wheels, you can install combination trailer lights that include the rear clearance function. For proper mounting, the lights must be installed at the widest points on the rear of the trailer - one on each corner.

I've had this light over a year and it is still working flawlessly. Arrived quickly and was a direct replacement for my BassTracker trailer.

I had to replace my boat trailer lights on my 1995 Sea Ray boat trailer. These were the perfect replacement lights for the matching of the existing ones. The mounting holes lined up perfect, no drilling required, just remove the old and install the new. It took more time to connect the wires on each side than to mount the new lights. etrailer had these to me in three days, and there were exactly as described and many choices to pick from. I don't use the boat all that much, If it were newer and I used the boat more I would have went with the LED model. Again and as usual etrailer was top shelf on the shipping and the price!! Thanks folks, I'll be back again.

Finally got my order for the tail light working with Steph. There had been some sort of ordering mix up at the time of paying thru P ay Pal. I thought that the order was just VERY slow, Steph tracked it down, and the order was never finalized - ?? She then helped me reorder - paid $2.99 for lowest shipping on 6/20, got the tail light on 6/25 (in northern Illinois) - wonder how fast the expensive delivery would have been!! Thanks the Steph for all her help!!! By the way, the light looks perfect, just like the original on the trailer from the dealer.

Wow this is the most amazing company I have ever dealt with on line. I ordered 2 tail light fixtures for my boat trailer and I needed them quickly so I paid the 2 day shipping fee and I didn't receive them for like 6 days. So I told them I thought I should get a refund on the freight, oh and bye the way the fixtures were perfect and exactaly what I had ordered. This sweet lady said she would refund me the difference between regular shipping and my 2 day shipping and she did. As it ended up I got them soon enough that I got the trailer ready to roll when I was supposed too afterall. So will tell everyone I know to shop etrailer for any thing they need if they like being treated great. THANKS AGAIN ETRAILER

I have bought several items from etrailer and have always been completely satisfied.

Last year I had a teenager learning how to back up with a trailer. This is how I came to need one replacement light. etrailer had a matching replacement light at a good price, and it arrived quickly and well packaged. That light is now starting its second season and is working well. I appreciated the wealth of information that is available on the website, and I found those resources very helpful. This year I have another teenager who needs to learn about trailers, so when the inevitable happens, I'll be back to etrailer!

I was looking for a replacement taillight/brake light for my boat trailer. When I clicked on etrailer.com I was impressed with the site and with all of the products and information offered. It was easy to navigate their site and the product info was great. My taillight/ brake light works great and was an exact fit. Very pleased with the whole experience and will order from them again.

Product delivery was timely. Product was as advertised and considerably less expensive that others. I really only needed the lens but to get the whole assembly was only slightly more. All installed!

by:

The first tail light I received was broken in shipping, which does not reflect on the quality of the unit. etrailer.com sent a replacement promptly, so I was pleased about that. One problem I had was the mounting slot spacing is 1/4" different from the original lights I had, even though they both use the same lenses. I guess there is no industry standard for mounting holes on these. I had to re-drill the mounting holes in my bracket to make them fit.

This is my second order from etrailer.com and the reason is the first order went so great. I had ordered some taillight lenses to replace some I had broken on my boat trailer, but when I finally got around to installing them, I discovered the box to which the lenses were to be screwed was damaged also and thus I had to replace the entire unit. I had initial difficulty finding the unit(my confusion..not the website's) so I emailed a question and received a prompt and CORRECT reply. This because these folks know their stuff. I promptly ordered the unit and it was shipped immediately. and was received in 3 days. I haven't actually installed it yet because the warehouse where I keep my boat is so hot, but I opened the package and quickly checked the unit against the damaged one and it is a perfect match. I am sure I will need to order such items again and I plan to ALWAYS ORDER FROM ETRAILER.COM!!

  • Replacement Trailer Taillight Lens with SAE STIAP2 04 DOT DOT Number On It
The SAE STIAP2 04 DOT number you provided is a DOT approval number, which states that the lens is compliant with DOT regulations. Because of that, that number isn't typically a good identifier for finding a replacement lens. However, in this case, we previously had a customer send in a photo of this particular lens which we managed to match up to the Optronics part # A39RB which is a replacement for their # ST36RB and # ST37RB taillights or a Wesbar 3571. You've hit the nail on the head. When the water is in the taillights assembly, it shorts the power supply circuit to ground causing you to blow fuses. I've seen folks drill a drain hole in the lowest point of the underside of the lamp housing, but your best course of action is to prevent the water from getting in there in the first place.
