Question:
Looking at lights for my 2003 shorelander over 80inch boat trailer. Lights are about 7 x 3 5/8 x 2. If the light is listed as waterproof will it be OK on a boat trailer or should it be listed as submersible? Any suggestions on lights?

The difference between waterproof and submersible is that the submersible lights have drain holes to let any water drain out if any should find its way inside the light while the waterproof does not allow water in because it is sonically sealed. For a boat trailer I recommend the waterproof since it does prevent water from entering. It is always a good idea to unplug your trailer from your tow vehicle when backing your trailer into water for loading and unloading.
We do not have lights that have the exact dimensions you mentioned. For a trailer that is over 80-inches wide I recommend the Optronics LED Light Kit, part # STL27RB. This light features 18 LEDs and is designed for the driver side of the trailer. For the passenger side of the trailer you would need part # STL26RB. These lights measure 8-1/16 inches long x 2-15/16 inches wide x 2-11/16 inches deep.
