Note: To avoid the Tow & Stow hitting steep driveways or curbs, we recommend at least 11" of clearance between the ground and the lowest point of the drop hitch, as seen above.
The B&W Tow & Stow adjustable ball mount lets you tow a variety of trailers with different tongue heights. Having both a 2" ball and a 2-5/16" ball allows for even more versatility, making this the ultimate go-to ball mount if you own multiple trailers.
To switch the hitch ball, simply remove the pin holding the balls in place and rotate the entire block that the balls are mounted on until the ball you want to use is on top. Then replace the pin to secure the block in place.
Adjusting the height of the ball is just as easy. Remove the pins holding the ball mount platform in place and slide the platform up or down along the shank to the desired position. Once you have found the correct height, reinsert the pins and replace the clips.
When you're not towing, you can flip the ball mount platform around and stow it beneath your hitch so that you won't bang your shins. Just remove the pins to slide the ball platform down along the channel and up the back side so that the hitch balls face towards your vehicle. Then replace the pins.
The Tow & Stow ball mount features a channel that runs along both sides of the shank. This channel not only allows you to slide the ball mount platform up and down to adjust the ball height, but it also prevents removal of the platform when the ball mount is installed, which will help prevent theft of your trailer.
A slot is cut into the adjustment channel near the top of the shank. To remove the ball mount platform from the shank you will need to remove the entire ball mount from your hitch. Then remove the pins that hold the platform in place. Flip the platform around to the stowed position on the rear of the shank, and then slide it up until the center pin lines up with the slot in the shank. Pull the platform out towards the rear of the shank until the pin pops out of the adjustment channel.
When the Tow & Stow is secured in your hitch receiver, you will not be able to remove the ball mount platform. This is because the slot in the shank is positioned in such a way that the collar on your hitch will block the pin on the platform from being able to leave the channel. Even if the pins holding the ball mount platform in place are removed, the platform will still be confined to this channel. So, as long as a hitch lock is used to secure the entire ball mount in your hitch receiver, and a coupler lock is used to prevent your trailer's coupler from being disengaged from the ball, your trailer will be secure.

This ball mount is extremely heavy duty. I had a stock class IV hitch and aftermarket ball mount on my Ram 3500 SRW and it was bending towing a 14000 lb dump trailer. I upgraded to a class V hitch and this mount and it's working great. I have 6 trailers that I pull with gooseneck, 5th wheel and ball hitches. The only 1 that uses 1 7/8" ball is a little 5x8 utility trailer that I'm converting to 2" so I got the 2 ball instead of the 3. When turned sideways it works as a step to get into the truck but only if the tailgate is up. It doesn't stick out far enough when the tailgate is open.
The reason for 1 less star is the documentation; you need more information to make the best choice. I originally ordered a different PN and it hung way too low bc is mounted under the existing hitch. To remove the stock hitch, you also remove the integrated mounting brackets for the bumper. I ordered a PN for a truck without a hitch and cut off the receiver tube with a torch. Also, I upgraded the 3 1/2" exhaust to 4" and now at idle the exhaust rattles on the much larger frame of the class V but a slight modification in planned to take care of that. Installation was fairly straighforward once I removed the original receiver tube.
Convenient. One thing bothers me about this hitch, and that’s the noise. It’s very noisy and rattles. I bought anti rattle clamp and the rubber silencers but still makes noise. Also it always looks pointing inward toward the truck, it always catches my attention when I do a walk around.
Had to upgrade my hitch as my new-to-me truck has a larger 2-1-2” receiver. My previous hitch was a Curt and served me well. However, the fit and finish on this BW was much better. I like that I can turn the ball to face forward minimizing the shin smacks. One cool feature was the ball carrier does not fall off with both pins removed. It stays attached and allows you to slide it around with it dropping to the ground. Nice!

Went with the B&W due to the length of the shaft going into the receiver. My 2024 Ram's receiver is recessed under the bumper. This hitch is long enough to accept my Towtector product. Similar to Rock Tamers. Also, Brittany in customer service was awesome to work with as she guided me towards the product that worked for my application.

Very compact design for the amount of drop provided and the tow capacity ratings. Quite easy to adjust height and the fold the ball mount under for storage with no bruised shins.
I needed a new ball mount for my 2017 F250 King Ranch (FX4 Off Road). This truck is tall and I needed significant drop to level out my trailer. I had experience with this type mount from my old truck, a 1999 F350, and I used a "Quick Draw" hideaway hitch. Not sure if that is the same as B&W but they look alike. This is a great product and looks great on my new truck. etrailer was super easy to deal with , shipped right away and the product, very heavy, was shipped is a solid shipping box. I also got the locking hitch pin to protect my investment (which was a way better design than the Master Locking pin I had on my old truck). The 7 1/2 inch drop is a perfect fit. Thanks etrailer!

Both products are still performing and looking great. I’ve had numerous people ask where I got them particularly the stowaway hitch and I tell them to check out etrailer.com before they buy locally.
Great Product, works perfectly, would recommend to anyone that owns a trailer.
Great quality hitch.. A little pricey so make sure you purchase a locking pin to deter the thieves.
The hitch is perfect. Be careful however as I ordered the wrong one and had to pay shipping to return. etrailer would not help or even get me a discounted rate based on the volume discount I expect they get. Prime would have paid shipping. .
I love being able to switch ball sizes so easy. Still looks good after a year. 2016 F250 2.5 inch lift. Sometimes the hitch scrapes is the only con I have.

This hitch is awesome, very happy with its durability, versatility and looks. Glad I bought it!
After doing some research and trying to figure out what style and brand of ball mount to get…..I settled on this B&W product. Its nice to have the ability to adjust your ball mount for different trailers just in case you need to. Being a machinist, I found that this was very well made……no burrs anywhere, clean welds, very nice powder coat finish and packed in heavy duty cardboard to prevent hopefully no issues with shipping.
Awesome hitch now I don’t have to fool with two trailerhitches I pull an 18ft equiptment trailer 2in and a 12ft dump 2 5/16 pull pin rotate ball replace pin and I’m on the road heavy built theif proof with just one lock and stow it when not in use no more skins shins oh and best price to

A year later and still looks great. I keep it indoors when not in use and clean it after every time. I really appreciate the adjustability and two ball set up even more with multiple rigs and trailers.

Love the product the Stowe and go feature is awesome so you never have to take it completely out. It also eliminated me having to carry multiple receivers in the bed of my truck. Great product! It's on a 2018 3500 ram truck works great easy to use,I have trailers with 2in and 2.5in hitch just flip ball around to get right ball size. Would buy again.

Still working great!1 draw back the hitch balls are starting to rust around the top were the trailer coupler sits.

It’s working great, I have a 3590 gmc and debated about getting a six or 8 12” and went with the 8 12” and now I’m glad I did as a bought a utility trailer and haven’t gave it on the lowest setting to be pretty level
