Order arrived very quickly and was exactly as described. Hassle-free purchase from start to finish. Not yet installed but it looks to be fine. Have used Optronix trailer lighting in the past so I know what I'm getting.

Trailer light photos

by:

Seem to be exactly what I was looking for... still need to be connected to my trailer... hopefully it will be bright... held in place with (2) 1/4" bolts... If this is mounted where it's exposed, it will need some protection so that if it's bumped it won't break away..

by:

Exactly the light I needed to repair Tornado damaged Trailer. They are installed, fit the very narrow space and working great. The order from etrailer.com arrived on time, and at a great price.

Thanks etrailer.com

I am happy with the product, but I think that the LED Trailer Stop, Turn and Tail-Light should come with a rubber mounting backing gasket to keep water from getting behind the unit and into the trailer through the hole which the wires pass through. I think it would be a superior product if this were included.

  • Which Wires Should be Tapped Into When Adding Additional LED Marker Lights on a Boat Trailer
In order to add LED lights that shine on your boat at night, they will need to be wired into the running light wire or wires on the trailer. On a typical 4-Way flat, it is the brown wire coming from the trailer side connector. To be certain, you can use a circuit tester like # PTW2993. With the trailer connector and vehicle lights on, probe the wires coming from the back of the connector until you find the one that is hot all the time. You can trace this wire back to where you want to...

  • How Does the Optronics Trailer Light # STL79RB Wire to Trailer Wiring
The wiring of the Optronics Trailer Light # STL79RB that you listed are: The white wire, with the mounting eye, is a ground wire that needs to be connected to the white wire of your trailer wiring. The black wire would be connected to your running lights and is the lower intensity illumination. This should be run to the brown wire of your trailer wiring as this is usually the tail light circuit. The red will be wired to the brake/turn wire and is for the higher intensity illumination....

  • Troubleshooting Tail Light Issues on New Grand Design Trailer
Since you tested the tow vehicle's connector and know it's working properly, we can at least focus all our attention on the trailer side. It sounds like you've already done this, but it certainly sounds like there's some kind of ground issue on the Grand Design that's causing the dim lights, and now the issue on the left side tail light. Check once more to make sure all your ground connections, both the main harness ground for the 7-Way and each individual ground for the light assemblies...

  • Replacement Tail Light For A 2016 Lance Travel Trailer
We do offer a light that looks very similar # STL211XRFHB. This may not be a direct replacement but it is a very similar LED trailer light. The light itself measures overall 7-1/2" wide x 3-1/4" tall x 3/4" deep. The light face is 6-1/2" x 2-1/4". It uses a 4 wire connection. If you are able to measure the current light, we can definitely narrow down a replacement.

  • Recommended Lights to Increase Visibility on Hitch-Mounted Bike Rack
The Optronics Sealed, Streamline LED Trailer Light # STL79RB referenced in your question will work to provide an additional light on your bike rack, however there may be easier options. You might have trouble mounting the light assembly to the rack itself and the 3-wire design will not allow for easy disconnect when you are not using the bike rack. For an easier option, I recommend looking at the LED Light Kit # 98174LED. You can easily mount these to your bike by using the Mounting Bracket...

This can be wired to your trailer using the Tow Ready Vehicle to Vehicle Taillight Converter, part # 118158. • What Wiring Would be Needed to Install a Third Brake Light Mounted to a Boat Outboard Motor
To add a third brake light to a trailer is pretty simple, but does require an adapter to convert the signal. Because trailer tail light systems combine the stop lamp and turn signals for each side onto a single circuit, you will need to use a vehicle-to-vehicle tail light converter, part # 118158 like you mentioned to split the brake light circuit back out. Looking at the diagram I produced for you will give you a good idea of the wiring layout. Now the temporary mount for the light...

The Optronics Streamline LED Trailer Tail Light # STL79RB is going to be the closest light we have to what was put on by Lance for your 2185 travel trailer. This light is 17" long, 1-3/8" wide and 1" tall. The mounting holes are spread 16-1/8" on center and like yours the wiring is offset. • Adding a Third Brake Light to a Small Camper Trailer
You could use light # STL79RB as a third brake light. Normally it is not recommended to mix LED lights at incandescent lights because the lights don't have voltage/amperage regulators and an incandescent light could draw too much power through an LED and burn it out. But it would work fine in this case because in order to have a third brake light you would have to separate out the combined turn signal/brake light circuits to get a dedicated brake light only function for a third brake...

This will give you a lot of wire to work with so you can hook up all of your lights. This uses your typical 18 gauge wire for the lights and 16 gauge for the ground. There is not a base plate for the Optronics Trailer Lights # STL79RB. It is a sealed light, with a clear plastic backing which isn't easy to see from the pictures, but there is not a need for a mounting base plate because the mounting holed are integrated and the unit itself is sealed and thus has a waterproof housing and lens unit. • Can a Horse Trailer be Converted to Run Off 12 Volt DC Power and 110 Volt AC Power
The biggest hurdle to overcome is having the trailer lights run off of 12 volt DC and 110 AC power. On a trailer that was not set up for this from the factory that means you would have to have a transfer switch installed and the associated wiring and electrical devices for it to be functional. The easy way to get AC power on the trailer is to use a power inverter...

  • Using Vehicle To Vehicle Taillight Converter # 118158 to Provide 3rd Brake Lamp on Trailer
The Tow Ready # 11858 is essentially a reverse tail light converter. A trailer used what we call a combined tail light system, where the signals for the brake lamps as well as the turn signals are carried on the same circuit. The # 118158 reverses this process, by separating the brake lamp signal from the turn signal circuit. To install a 3rd brake lamp on a trailer, the # 118158 is exactly what you would need. You would tap the green and yellow wires on the INPUT side of the converter...
