  To order trailer lights you will want to order by part number on your lights or by the size of the light you will need. The SAE stands for the Society of Automotive Engineers and the 97 DOT stands for the Department Of Transportation. These part numbers are usually on the lenses of most all trailer lights. You will want to get a Brand name (Bargman, Peterson, Wesbar) and the part number (40-38-001, 154R, 221902) that is on your light to be able to get the correct light for your trailer....

  I compared the picture of the lights you have to the magnetic tow lights we carry and it looks like you have the Roadmaster Magnetic lights part # RM-2120. Which I spoke to my contact at Roadmaster and he said that any replacement lens with a 4-1/4 inch overall diameter that snaps onto the light housing would work like the part # A24RB.

  The number on the lens that you see is the lens rating, not a part number so it is difficult to go by that number. There might be a part number on the back of the light housing. Otherwise it would be easiest to go by the dimensions of the light. For example light # A91RB does have the same lens rating. It would use a base such as # A91BB and wiring harness # A91LW for the power wire.

  Yes, both the Optronics lights # MC65RB and MCL75RB use the same mounting base, so the # MCL75RB lights will snap into your old bases. You will then need to wire in the lights, with a power and ground connection. Part # MCL75RB is a sealed LED light light and will burn brighter but draw less power than part # MC65RB. The light on these spreads out 90 degrees to either side of its centerline for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. The main difference between PC and PC2 is the application.   You are exactly right. Changing out your # MC65RB incandescent lights for new # MCL75RB lights will simply require removing the existing light and snapping a new light into the same housing. Both of these lights use the # A65PB bracket. If any of the brackets on your trailer need replaced you can use the # A65PB as a replacement, but the LED lights will not require any different base than the incandescent lights.
