Specs:
The sturdy steel construction is protected with a matte black finish for added durability. This unique powder coating gives etrailer hitches a carbide-like appearance and a rugged look that sets them apart from traditional glossy hitches. In addition to being rust and corrosion resistant, the tough matte coating hides dirt, scuffs, and dings better than a glossy finish.

This fully welded trailer hitch receiver bolts onto your vehicle's frame with no welding required. Matte black, powder coated steel is durable and corrosion resistant and creates a rugged look. The hitch is of good quality and it fit perfectly. I found that the best way to install the hitch is to remove the rear bumper entirely. All the mounting bolts need to be removed anyway and the two on the bumper are hard to get to and probably were in there since my 2007 truck was new. Much easier to remove all the bolts with the bumper off and the hitch is easy to install with no bumper in the way. Finished install looks good with very little of the hitch showing except for the receiver. PS I'm a pretty good DIY type and it took 4 hours to install this hitch.
Nice solid hitch receiver. Not difficult to install.
One pretty aggravating problem. Included instructions said to add four metal spacers, 2 to each side. Adding the spacers was a pain and when I went to add the bumper it turned out to be wrong and I had to remove the hitch receiver and remount it without the spacers in order for the bumper to fit.
Once the receiver was finally installed, I was happy with it. Getting it installed took 3 days of working out rusted bolts and cleaning bolt holes. Like a few people have mentioned, the hitch arrived bent. Ended up using a storm drain/curb to bend it straight. Made for a difficult fit but it worked. The one tip I'd give for people doing this solo, is to use heavy duty zip ties through the horizontal bolt holes. Lift up one end, get the zips started. Then put one on the other end. Goal is to get it all up and close enough to get one bolt started. Tighten the ties as you go along. After one bolt is in, cut out a tie on the opposite side, replace with a bolt. Repeat for the last two. Laying on my back, I used my knee to push up on the bumper to help align everything. It worked much easier than trying to muscle things up. Didn't have a jack tall enough or stabile enough to hold the receiver up while bolting it in.
Took me only an hour to install. The four washer/spacers/shims were difficult to get aligned with the bolt holes.
The right side brackets was bent, probably during shipment. I did get it bent back in place. Took a large bench vice and some leverage to get bracket back in its original position.
Other than these 2 issues, this install was a clean and neat project for the 2009 Toyota Tacoma.

It sounds like that the side brackets were knocked out of alignment which is why the bolt holes are not lining up. This can happen while in transit to our facility or to you. We do have a great FAQ that provides ways to move the brackets back into alignment so the hitch can be installed.

Sturdy and fit like a wet glove. Small parts kit helped in the installation and the delivery was relatively quick considering the size and weight.

It continues to be stable and works as it should. There have been no problems at all.
Received it damaged. etrailer made excuses. Had to pay garage extra to have it repaired and installed. Bad business.
Had to really work to get the one side straightened out enough to fit onto my frame. Plenty of cuss words and bloody knuckles but it finally fit. 100% bent on delivery. This steel is strong enough that it wouldn’t “flex” during shipment. Likely a production line issue.

Solid. Holding up very well. Tows my boat great up to northern Michigan and back to ohio.
Quality product received super quick. The hitch fit right up nice. Will do business with again. Thanks so much.
Great product!, Quick shipping!
Very easy to install and it fits perfect on my 2013 Tacoma
Came in bent used a a drain gutter to bend it in shape. It’s easier to just remove the whole bumper in my opinion. Pretty decent just had to do a little more work to fix the bend Called customer service just incase I got the right part because it didn’t fit in my first attempt didn’t realize it came bent inwards customer service responded right away and was very professional. Took about 2 hours total
Exactly what I needed. I needed a hitch receiver so I could put my bicycle rack on and it has worked perfectly.
Installed today Video instructions were flawless Will install the light kit tomorrow So here’s the skinny. I’m 59 yo, it was 98 degrees out today, and I finished in a couple hours with the help of a floor jack. I would absolutely recommend an extra set of hands and a lift if available. But hey if I can crawl around on the concrete so can you
One year follow-up: The product works as advertised. No problems at all over the last year. Installation was simple and straight forward. You can install this by yourself; however, I recommend you get and extra set of hands. One person to hold the hitch level while do a final tightening of the mounting bolts. Overall I'm very happy with the product.

No complaints at all. The hitch has performed perfectly in use. After 2 years of use I see no problems and the finish is holding up well. Very satisfied.
Everything lined up. Easy to install. Took this adult male with the right tools and some experience working on cares a little over an hour. Keep in mind you have to re-align the bumper afterwards, which can benefit from a second set of eyes.
The look, strength, and quality of the hitch look good. The two end plates arrived bent. The two end plates also did not seem to be clocked to the same position. I could not start all of the bolts unless I left them all quite loose. Even so, some of the bolts drug on the sides of the factory holes in the hitch. Spacers between the bumper and the bumper bracket were too small to position easily, especially for the two rearmost bolts. I had to hang the spacer from a fine wire to position it so I could start the bolts. Although I had all of the tools that were shown on the installation video the installation proved challenging.

When a trailer hitch is manufactured, softer steel is used in the mounting flanges as opposed to the harder steel used in the crossbar and receiver tube. This allows the hitch to flex along with the vehicle to a certain degree. This flexibility can also allow the hitch to get slightly bent out of position during shipping and handling. Luckily, its very easy to fix this if you know a few tricks as shown in the linked article.
great trailer hitch at fair price.
The trailer Hitch Receiver fits perfect on my Tacoma. No need to add washers, nuts or bolts. all was provided like they knew what I needed.
Fit just fine... need to be packed a bit better. The nuts and bolts pouch broke and a round washer was missing. Hitch is on and looks good.... mama likes it.
Great product, box needs to thicker to keep the product from breaking out.
Very good instructions to follow for the installation process. Quality product.

Still no issues. Great product. Affordable price. Thanks guys.
The instructions were clear, and installation was simple. I ended up selling the vehicle I installed it on about 6 months after installing, but I had zero issues while it was in my possession.
Installed on my Tacoma. No alterations or adaptation needed. Correct hardware included.
Great service, great product and detailed instructions. Outstanding job, thank you and I'm very pleased and grateful.
