Question:

I have a 2008 toyota tacoma with a factory hitch it is rusting out can I remove it and replace it with a draw tite II model.

The only compatible Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver for a 2008 Toyota Tacoma is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75236, which excludes X-Runner models. If you have a regular Tacoma then you'd be fine using that hitch.

If you do have an X-Runner model then I'd recommend going with the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98850, which is a fit for both the X-Runner and regular models. I also prefer the matte black paint of this hitch over the high gloss of the # 75236 since it shows less scratches and tends to just look better over time.
