Snow piles up on your driveway and paths, making it harder to get around your property. This 48" plow mounts to your ATV frame and angles left or right to push snow aside. Your ATV winch (sold separately) raises and lowers the blade.
When snow piles up on your driveway or paths, mount this plow to the front of your ATV to clear the way. The 48" wide blade pushes snow straight ahead, or you can angle it 7.5°, 22.5°, or 30° to the left or right to move snow off to one side. Two adjustable trip springs help soften the impact if the blade hits an obstruction.
To change the angle, remove the locking pin, turn the blade to the position you want, and put the pin back into the corresponding hole. That lets you choose how to move snow along your driveway or away from an area you need to clear.
The two adjustable skid pads let you set how high the blade rides above the ground, which is useful when plowing your gravel driveway or uneven surfaces. The hardened steel wear blade along the bottom is reversible, so you can turn it around when one edge wears down. You can also adjust the tension of the two trip springs to help the blade respond when it encounters an obstruction.
This snow plow mounts to the front of your ATV's frame, not to a rear hitch or Black Boar implement lift. The included mounting bracket fits many ATVs with accessible round or square tubular frames. To raise and lower the blade, you'll need a front-mounted electric ATV winch with a cable and hook. The winch cable attaches to the plow's A-frame, and you operate it using your ATV's winch control. If you don't already have a winch, the Bulldog Winch Powersports 3,000-lb ATV winch (BDW15002 - sold separately) is one option to consider. Make sure the winch and any required mounting plate fit your ATV.
For installation, use a torque wrench (PT87ZR - sold separately) capable of 50 ft-lbs. The frame-mount fasteners tighten to 30 ft-lbs, and the blade pivot fastener tightens to 50 ft-lbs. The included mounting hardware differs for round and square frames, so follow the instructions for your ATV's frame shape.
When the snow is cleared, disconnect the winch cable and remove two locking pins to take off the plow assembly. You can leave the frame bracket in place for the next snowfall.
For surfaces you want to protect from the steel cutting edge, you can substitute the Black Boar polyethylene wear blade (CAM67FY - sold separately). The flexible material is more forgiving on concrete and other surfaces that a metal blade could damage.
If snow makes it difficult to see where the plow ends, add the 18" orange plow markers (CAM77FY - sold separately). They extend above the blade so you can judge its corners as you work around driveways, paths, and obstacles.
