You're backed into a canyon, the sun's dropping fast, but the air's still clinging to the heat. This AC hums low, sips power, and keeps your van cool so you can kick back and relax while the world sweats just outside your doors.
You've had summer trips where you soaked up every last drop of daylight. Maybe there were sweaty ridge hikes, sunbaked desert climbs, dirt on your arms, and salt drying on your neck. By the time you crawled into your rig, it was roasting inside, and the built-in fan wasn't cutting it. You probably lay there with the fan on full blast, still feeling like your skin couldn't breathe.
The Velit 2000R cools your space to a temperature your body can recover comfortably in. It runs directly off your battery bank without needing an inverter and pairs with the power system you already rely on. You don't have to trade peace and stillness for campground hookups. Breathe easier, sleep deeper, and wake up surrounded by the wild, not someone else's RV slide-out.
If you're relaxing under the stars and not ready for bed yet, you can still prep your rig without leaving the hammock. This AC gives you three ways to dial in the temp. Go old school with the onboard panel, use the included remote from your sleeping bag, or embrace technology and adjust it from your phone using the Velit app.
Ductless air conditioners, like this one, move air straight into your rig without relying on ceiling ductwork, making them ideal for vans, retrofits, or any setup where simplicity matters. With a ductless system, what you see is what you get: a rooftop unit connected directly to a ceiling assembly that pushes steady airflow into your living space. They're also perfect for adding a second AC to areas that never cool down properly, like an upper bunk or a rear bedroom.
Once it kicks on, it stays quiet. Eco Mode runs at 45 decibels, softer than a quiet conversation. Boost Mode tops out at 58 dB, more like steady white noise. It's quiet enough to hear the breeze, the rain, or whatever weird noises the woods are making, including sasquatch.
Most vans already have a 14 inch by 14 inch roof fan. That's exactly what this AC is built to fit. You're not gonna have to make sketchy measurements and cut into your roof. Just pull the fan out, drop the Velit unit in, wire it up, and you're on to cooler nights. With the gasket, mounting hardware, trim panel, and wiring harness all in the box, you're nearly set from the start.
The compact, low-profile shape keeps things tight up top too. Its square footprint leaves room for solar panels, storage, or anything else you've got planned for your roof.
While the unit itself doesn't require additional components to operate, it's recommended to have a system in place to recharge your battery bank, such as solar panels or a generator, especially for extended off-grid use.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Velit Black 8000 Btu 2000R RV air conditioner system with remote. Now this 8000 Btu per hour air conditioner is going to chill your Class B vans and trailers without draining your battery bank. This efficient 12-volt twin-rotor compressor air conditioner system is going to run directly off of your battery bank without needing an inverter, and it's gonna pair with the power system that you already rely on. So you're not gonna have to trade peace and stillness for campground hookups. So let's talk dimensions.
Looking at the overall length of this unit, from front to back, we're sitting right at 31 and a half inches long. That's gonna be the same for the width as well, so it's pretty square. And then the overall height is gonna be about seven to one-eighth inches tall, so, indeed, it's a low profile air conditioner. Wiring harness over there is about 15-feet long, and the unit itself weighs a little over 65-pounds, about 66-pounds or so. So it's not terribly heavy.
And so, the compact low profile shape, it's gonna keep things pretty tight up top as well. Its square footprint is going to leave room for solar panels, storage, or whatever else you've got mapped out on your roof. Now this air conditioner is going to give you three different ways in which you can dial in the temperature that you're looking for, that's gonna be most comfortable for you. Now, because of the way that I have this mounted on my table, I'm not able to show you underneath, but I wanna put a picture up on your screen there showing you that when you have this drop through the opening of your camper, on the ceiling there, you're gonna have the vents and a control panel there. So, that's the first way that you're gonna be able to adjust that temperature is through that panel up in the ceiling, on the bottom of this air conditioner unit.
And then also taking a closer look on this side of my table, I mentioned the remote. So you're gonna have this handy remote control where you can make adjustments from the comfort of your bed, or your sleeping bag, or whatever, you're not gonna have to get up and adjust those controls. But then the third way that you're gonna be able to do it is to download the app for free on your smartphone's App Store, and you're gonna be able to control this air conditioning unit with that app via Bluetooth. So that's pretty cool, you got those three different ways that you can control this. So no matter where you're at, you're gonna be able to control that temperature very easily.
Now once this kicks in, the Eco mode runs at about 45 decibels, so that's gonna be softer than a quiet conversation. And then when you have it all the way up on Boost mode, that's gonna top out at 58 decibels, and that's kind of like a steady white noise. So this is gonna be indeed a really quiet machine overall. Now most vans and trailers have a 14 by 14 inch roof fan, typically, and that's exactly what this air conditioner is designed to fit. So you're not gonna have to make any sketchy measurements and cut into your roof, you're just going to pull that old fan out, drop this unit in, wire it up, and you'll be good to go. So, of course, the air conditioner is included with this system, but going back to this side of the table, the other items that you're going to get here is going to be the mounting brackets that I have right here, you're gonna get two of them, and then you're gonna get the ceiling gasket that I have laid out right here, the interior trim panel that I have propped up. So, obviously, this is what you're gonna see surrounding the bottom of the unit on your ceiling to give it a nice, finished look. The remote that we talked about, this 15-foot long wiring harness with inline fuse, you're gonna get a user manual, mounting hardware. So, right out of the box, you're gonna have everything that you need to get this installed and up and running. Now, while the unit itself does not require any additional components to operate, it is recommended to have a system in place to recharge your battery bank, obviously, you know that, such as a solar panel or a generator, especially for extended off-grid use. Now this has been tested to run steady through rough roads, dry heat, airborne dust, so it's a durable system as well. And if black doesn't necessarily go with your setup, we do also have this exact same unit in white. The cover's very durable. If you ever need to do any maintenance inside, it can be easily removed. But I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I think we've covered everything that is important for you to know. If you do pick this up, we would love to hear back from you regarding how the installation went and the operation.
