Hi, everybody. Andy here, with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Trimax Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for your 2 inch Hollow Ball Mounts. Now, this anti-rattle hitch pin is going to reduce any movement or vibration of your ball mount in your hitch. And this is designed to fit your 2 inch hollow-core ball mounts. So this 5/8 of an inch diameter pin with a 2 3/4 inch span are tailored for 2 inch trailer hitch receivers.
And this is going to make sure that you have a secure connection every time. And this is gonna be a relatively simple installation. You're going to slide this lock nut carriage into your hollow ball mount, as you can see there, on the instructions, there. And then you're gonna put the pin through your receiver, tighten the anti-rattle mechanism with the included tool, and then that's gonna give you a secure, silent ride. So this is gonna be a very easy installation for you.
If you notice, this is weather-resistant, it has this rubber cap, here, that's tethered, so that's gonna shield the lock head from dirt and moisture, because you really don't wanna mess around with a jammed up locking mechanism. You are going to get two keys. And so it's gonna be very easy to unlock this, and open it, just like that. You see it has that sleeve there. And then to lock that back into place, you'll just connect that head, give it a turn the other way, and then, the cap on these Trimax locks, I've noticed, fit very snug and tight, so that's great, because, like I said, again, it's gonna keep that lock very clean, free from moisture, dirt, and debris.
So I just want to confirm some things here for you. I mentioned that that span, or that inside pin length, is 2 3/4 inches, so just confirming that there with you. The overall length, in case you we inchesre interested, just doing this on the fly, here. Looks like we're pretty close to, right at 6 inches with that cap. So, solid construction, this is going to keep your hitch firmly in place so you can tow with confidence.
You're not gonna have to, again, worry about vibration, noise, things like that. And again, I appreciate how easy this is going to be to get this all installed in place. Now, if you do decide that this is going to be exactly what you need, once you receive it, once you got it installed and you've been using it, we would love to hear back from you. We wanna hear about your experience with this product, so leave us a review on this product page, and we would even love to see photos of your setup, as well, to see this in action. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
