Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the CE Smith gusset for your boat trailer frames. This is an aluminum gusset that's going to brace the beams on your boat's trailer frame for extra stability and less flexing. This is going to keep the two intersecting beams on your trailer's frame from bending and flexing. So it is going to be a nice piece here, and because it is an aluminum construction, it is lightweight and also rust-proof and corrosion resistant.
So unlike some of your steel components, this, you won't have to have any special coatings on here to prevent it from rusting. It's naturally rust-proof so should hold up well for you for a nice long time.As far as getting this installed, it's going to be very simple. Just bolt onto the beams of the intersecting point. The mounting hardware is sold separately for this, but overall, I think this should do a good job for you. Give you a few measurements here, make sure that this is going to work for your application.
This is right at three inches wide, about quarter of an inch thick. Overall length, you can call it right about five and a half inches. Now the center portion here that's kind of flat, I'm going to say that's right about three inches. And then we've got two different sizes on our angled pieces here. This one is about an inch and a quarter, and this one is about an inch and a half.So if you're needing a gusset bracket to help to stabilize your trailer's frame, help there to be more stability and less flexing.
This is going to be a great option for you. It is made here in the USA, so you can trust it's made to the high quality standards that we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the US. And overall, I just think it's going to do a good job. Hold up well for you with that aluminum construction. The two bolt holes that we have here, I forgot to give you those measurements. These are right at nine sixteenths of an inch, so just over half inch in width there, so it should be pretty easy to get installed and last you a nice long time.
So that's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
