Purchased your Konig Standard Snow Tire Chains based on the terrific video by Alan. He gave great advice on installing the chains. We reviewed it again yesterday before we tested our installation skills on our 2021 Tahoe. Encountered ZERO issues. Appreciate also the weather protected instructions. Great product!1262242

Shipping was fast and accurate. When I called customer service at 6 p.m., an employee answered quickly and answered my questions efficiently.

The installation videos helped greatly, and these chains seem to be holding up well. After driving through snow and slush, I tried removing the chains. The tension clip was difficult to open because of the frozen slush. I proceeded to chip out the ice laying in the dark to remove the chains. Overall, great chains and I am glad they went on easily. I make sure to bring them inside after use in order to melt the ice.1245525

I cannot give a fair evaluation of the product's performance or durability, but I did to a trial fit and they fit as described. The videos provided by etrailer were an excellent guide. I hope to never have to use these things, but glad I have them just in case.1223302

The chains came the day before I had to make the drive across CA Hywy 88 in what looked like bad weather so I was glad to have them with me. Did not need them that day but 2 days later it had snowed. Road was plowed but still had ice in places. Again did not need them but being CA they will ask to see that you are in fact carrying chains in the vehicle. Tried them on when I got home and they fit both trucks just fine...easy on and easy off...and not made in China. Can't wait to really need them!

The chains arrived in two or three days and most importantly they fit. I had ordered chains from another company that did not fit and I had to call them twice and send 4 e-mails just to get a return started.
etrailer was fast, responsive and accurate. The chains go on extremely easy and I won’t have a chance to use them for about two weeks when try to make the last uphill mile of my 5 mile road when I get back home to the New Mexico/Colorado border.599962

Haven’t had an opportunity to use the chains just yet, but experience with etrailer very positive. Every year we travel north into the mountains. For years we used the traditional snow chains on my Chevy Tahoe. For the past couple of years we have used my son's Cherokee with this type chains. The chains are go on fast and provide good traction. I now own a new Tahoe and purchased the same type of chains. Based on previous experiences I'm looking forward to to easy installation and good traction when driving in the snow.576124

Product arrived quickly, and in great shape. Product did not include gloves, nor mat, but that's not a big deal. The plastic instructions are truly plastic, which is pretty nifty when considering installation in snow.

Fit on my 2018 Grand Touring CX-5 seems fine - I have yet to use the chains in snow, but I fit them on my car in the garage per the video recommendations. Video installations may tell you that the yellow tab needs to face towards the front of the vehicle - I found this to be false/true depending on if you were on the passenger or driver side of the vehicle. I believe that correct installation has the chain approach the tire from left to right, independent of vehicle direction. That is, if on the driver side (USA vehicle), the chain will be wrapped around the tire with the yellow tab coming from the front of the vehicle. If installing on the passenger side, the chain wraps coming from the rear of the vehicle. This was to ensure that the non-hooked sides (smooth side) of the chains were facing the rims on both driver and passenger installations per the installation videos.

One of the red plastic tabs required re-seating on the chain as it was inverted and would sit upside down when the chains were installed.941318

1 year follow-up: I used the chains on a recent road trip to a mountain snow elevation. They worked as a nice option for traveling through the mountains to get to the snow shoeing area in uncertain weather, but be sure to add extra time for the 30mph speed limit when using chains. The tension chain did seem a bit longloose on one of the tires, so I double backed to keep things tight. Not sure if thats necessary.

Fantastic customer service, constant follow up from etrailer.com. I need the product urgently and it arrived in a couple of days all the way to Canada! The product is very high quality and was easy to install. I have a cottage with a steep hill and when it’s full of ice it’s very tough to get up even with my 4x4 now I don’t have to put sand and salt down for 500 plus feet! Konig chains are a life saver.

After having these for a full winter season, I can say that they were well worth the purchase. 4.5 stars. Traction was supreme, and ease of install and removal is everything they say - awesome! Removed a star only because the plastic clips that route the little tensioning chain were quickly broken, and the rubber end is marginal. However when installed on my 2wd truck, I pulled a small box trailer up and down a very icy and steep slope (dirt road at scout camp) - without a hint of wheelspin. Same area immediately before chain install had cars and 4wd trucks stuck on a gentle grade. These are not smooth at all on pavement, but a lifesaver when needed.737268

Bought these for some trips to the NC mountains and finally got to use them in January. I was very impressed with how well these worked. Pulling out of the driveway was nearly impossible until I put them on and had instant traction. Once I figured them out, they installed in just a few minutes. Taking them off after driving was a messy experience due to the wet, dirty snow but very easy.
