Hey Kris, yes the Konig Commercial Truck Tire Chains # th01571267 does fit your tire size of 265/70-17 and the fact the tires have a more aggressive tread pattern will not be an issue. Are BF Goodrich KO2 All Terrain Tires pretty loud? My parents had a set on a truck we had growing up and I remember thinking they howled quite a bit.

The KO2's are loud but that comes with the territory of all terrains sometimes. How do the Konig chains compare to the pewag Tire Chains - Ladder Pattern - Grooved Square Links - Manual Tensioning - 1 Pair Part Number: PWE2228S?

@KrisH Makes sense! The Pewag # PWE2228S are more like a hardcore deep snow/hardcore chain setup. Since it's a ladder design it's more like a paddle tire BUT because of that it's going to give a rougher ride quality than the Konig set which is a diamond pattern. The Konigs will still work great but the diamond pattern means a bit less forward drive but smoother ride and more side to side traction. They both are very durable though. The Pewag is reversible so you can wear it out on both side and the Konig is made of a really hard alloy.

@JamesonC all fair points. I am approaching the chains like this: If the conditions are bad enough where I need to put chains on an equipped 4 Runner with KO2's and 4hi/4lo available, then I am assuming it will warrant a heavier duty chain setup. Plus I may use them offroad a bit too. Will the Konig work offroad as well or are they more for on-road use cases?

@KrisH I think the Pewag is a better option for you. It's going to dig deeper and harder into the snow than the Konig. The Konig set will get you around but its more for the person who will be basically onroad the most and will want a slightly better ride quality when getting around and not the person who just wants max traction.
