Video Transcript for Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster Review

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjusters. They're available for passenger vehicles, with part number TCMA1. That'll work with wheel sizes between 13 and 20 inches. They're available for light trucks, with part number TCMA 2. This will work with wheel sizes between 14 and 24 inches. Finally, they're available for heavy duty trucks, with part number TCMA3.

These will work with wheel sizes between 15 and 24 and a half inches. These rubber adjusters are designed to work with most Titan Tire Chains. They're going to give you the extra tension you need to make them nice and snug around your tire. They stretch for constant tension, providing a tight and secure fit. Our rubber adjusters attach to the center ring here, which allows it to maintain tension even if one arm breaks. Our attachment hooks make it easy to install.

We'll go ahead and show you that now. We've already got our Titan Chain installed, and as you can see, it's a little loose. Which, is a common problem. That's what our Titan Rubber Adjuster is here to fix. You'll want to be sure that the hooks are facing away from the tire. What we're going to do is go ahead and start by hooking the top.

Then, we're going to go directly across, hook the bottom, and then just work our way around. As you can see, it's already starting to tighten up that cable. That's what we want. Now, after you've got it installed, you can go ahead and put one on the other side. Once you've got them both installed, it's a good idea to drive a short distance, and then stop, get out, and check to see if you need to make further adjustments to your chain. That's going to complete our look at the Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjusters..

Good product for price. The only problem I have is that they stay on my plow truck from October thru April and the sun causes them to dry rot after a year or two. Luckily they're not expensive. 575768

The Titan Multi-Arm rubber tire chain adjusters are a pleasure to use compared to my old method of using individual rubber bungees. I bought these with my new Titan V-Bar snow chains and have driven out into the snowy woods a couple of times since installing them. The rubber adjusters are keeping my chains tight and secure. I did learn that the installation is easier if you hook the first arm at 12 o'clock, second at 6 o'clock, third at 2 o'clock, fourth at 8 o'clock, fifth at 10 o'clock and last at 4 o'clock. This method keeps the center ring centered on the wheel and allows you to pull down against the arm 180º across from the one you are hooking. 236505

TCSA2 chain tighteners 1 pr TCMA2 chain tighteners 1 pr TC2828CAM tire chains 1 pr The above items were purchased for use on my 2000 Ford F350 crewcab 4X4 Truck. Excellent website and easy to use. Costs of items very competitive. Shipping time was prompt! and items were well packaged. Included several pictures of the items and of the installation on one of the Truck rear tire; LT285/75R 16 BFG all terrain tires... Installation went well and there were no problems; everything looked good after the chains and tensioners were installed... Hope this helps other folks out there. Great products that I would highly recommend to other folks!! Thanks, Henry 337517

I purchased these chains, installed them for a check fit and kept them in the truck on my trip down to California driving the mountain passes in Oregon and California...As luck would have it I never had to chain up going south or when returning back home going north!!I am still highly impressed with the chains and I am glad that I purchased them from Etrailer!!

I used separate individual rubber tensioners to tighten my truck tire chains. I ordered Titan TCMA2 chain adjusters and they worked more efficiently. The chain adjusters were easy to install and provided even six points of tension. I would recommend to anyone who orders truck chains. 175108

Put chains on with rubber adjusters. On truck ALL winter long and both worked great. A little worn but considering the use they should have been destroyed and are not.

So far great. I was asked to review 24 hours after receiving. So I can say that I have tried the fit on dry pavement. on my Sportsmobile's LT 315/70/ R17's they fit great. If you have the Aluminess back bumper, all 4 sacks of chains just fit in the bumper storage. I have not driven the 100 yards and re-fitted. I think they might tighten up 1 link. I also bought the Review the Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster for Light Trucks - 1 Pair - TCMA2. I don't think they will be needed, but I will use anyway. Shipping was really fast and the box they ship in is ergonomic. This is weird to say but you will see what I mean. Note, these chains are about 30-35 lbs a set. If you are buying for a 4 tires, you will be looking at 120 - 140 lbs of chains. 327035

I ordered 2 sets of chains (1 set cable for RAM 3500 dually and 1 set for my RAM 1500 (TC2553) with the chain adjuster bands). I was very happy with the time frame from ordering the chains to receiving the chains. I got them before I had to get on the road to Colorado (5 days from order to receipt). I tried both sets on the truck and they were very easy to install and appear to be good quality. I do recommend that you review the installation instruction video to assist when it is the first time. I do recommend that you order the chain adjusters bands, as they will keep the chains tightly fixed to the wheel and keep them from tight on the tire and rim and keep them slapping the wheel well if they get any slack. I have not had to use these chains, I do not anticipate any issues. I am from snow country and have years of experience dealing with chains, these are easiest set I have worked with...I recommend this company and their products. 324699

Just received my chains yesterday. I have to say, first of, customer service is EXCELLENT! I had questions on which chains were best for my SUV and I was promptly responded with suggestions and links to videos. I went with these tire cables for my 2015 Dodge Durango SXT Plus. There was question about clearance issues with brake lines on the Durango and these seem to be very low profile and made for lower clearance. The price was right too. I did a dry install today and it was a breeze. Took way longer to fold these back up and put back into the storage bag! Lol! (That's not these chains fault, it's user error...) I took some pictures but note it was my first time installing tire cables so I'm going to have to center them a bit more. I purchased the Titan chain multi arm rubber chain adjusters and they did make a difference on how snug the cables fit, so I would recommend them. We only plan on using them on very rare occasions when we venture up the mountain, so in sure if you live where it snows all the time, you will probably look at higher prices chains, but I think these are perfect for the occasional use. I will update after our Big Bear trip if we use them to reflect actual use. Thank you etrailer, they also upgraded my shipping to get here a couple days earlier just because... that was amazing! 344228

I bought the chains for a pickup in advance of an elk hunt in Montana. I needed the chains to pull a camper camper up an off road snowy hill. I eventually got the camper out but caused much damage to the chains. I repaired by installing chain links. My next opportunity to use the product was on a snow filled frozen lake. Snow depth required me to use chains. After one day on the ice, the chains were ready for the garbage. I was disappointed in the rubber tire chain adjuster as well. Presumably these rubber straps would be used in a cold environment. None of the rubber straps survived being stretched at -30, they all broke without much effort. Adding to my frustration was the fact the warranty period was so short it made the warranty useless. Maybe the product works fine in a more civilized environment but I learned that; if you need a pair of chains, buy a real pair of chains, and not this product. I'll be interested to see if you actually include this review. 448580

I purchased an extra set of the multi-arm tire chain adjusters for my light SUV (Toyota Highlander Hybrid). I did use them on a recent ski trip to Lake Tahoe with my snow chains. All items arrived in good condition and all were as described and were as expected. The items, three sets of tire chains and three sets of chain tighteners were inspected, but as of this date none of the items have been installed or placed in service. The products all appear to be of good quality and should perform as expected when used. At this time, I rate the order response time as excellent and all items were shipped quickly and arrived in good condition and if they do not prove to perform well I will quickly respond with a follow-up review to indicate any deficiencies. Will look forward to doing additional business with etrailer.com. 464750

  • Recommended Heavy-Duty Tire Chains For 2016 Ram 2500 Truck
  • I did some research on your 2016 Ram 2500. Per the owner's manual tire chains can only be used on the rear tires. For your 285/60R20 tires, the heavy-duty chains we offer are the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Chains w/ Cams for Wide Base Tires, part # TC3229SCAM. These are a ladder-pattern manganese nickel alloy chain with square links that are excellent in snow and on ice. These include cam tighteners so adjusting is easy. When using these chains the maximum speed rating is 30-mph. To...

In my opinion your safety, the safety of other motorists, and following the law outweigh any repercussions that may occur from not following the manual. • For your Jeep tire chains on your 35x12.5x17 inch tires, we do not have any 7mm thick links, but we do have heavy duty chains with 5.6mm link thickness. I recommend the Pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains for Wide-Base and Dual Tires - 1 Pair # PWE3231S if you don't want the cam tighteners integrated. These will require the Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster for Light Trucks - 1 Pair # TCMA2. If you want the integrated cams then I recommend the Pewag All Square Snow Tire...

  • Recommended Tire Chains for a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 with Dual Rear Wheels
  • In order to recommend the correct set of tire chains for the dual rear wheels on your 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 I would need to know which size tires you have. The 2005 Dodge Ram 3500's came from the factory with the following tire sizes: 235/80-17 245/70-17 265/70-17 285/70-17 305/40-22 Once you can confirm your tire size I would be glad to see which chain would be best for you.

  • Recommended Snow Cable Chains for 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander with 225/55-18 Tires
  • For cable style snow chains like the set you are looking at that will fit the 225/55-18 tires on your 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander I recommend the Titan # TC2029. These are confirmed to fit this tire size and the low-carbon steel rollers will provide nice traction in light snow. These are Class S compatible which means they work well with vehicles like yours that have limited wheel well clearance. I also recommend adding a set of Tire Chain Adjusters like # TCMA2 to allow for an even tighter...

  • Do Tire Snow Chains Come With One or Two Chains?
  • When a snow tire chain says it comes in a pair, such as the # PWE2241SC or # PWPLC1142 that means it comes in a quantity of two chains. I have added a link for you with a video review of these chains for you to take a look at as well.

  • Recommended Snow Tire Chains For 215/65R16 Tires
  • For your 215/65R16 tires, we don't have snow socks that are a confirmed fit. I recommend using class s compatible chains to give you traction in the snow and maximize your internal clearance needed to protect your vehicle. I recommend checking your owners manual for compatibility. For chains only requiring 12mm clearance internally, I recommend the Thule Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - D Link - XG12 Pro - Size 230 # TH2004705230 or the similar # TH01221102. • Tire Chains Use and Fit on 235/45R18 Tires on 2017 Kia Soul
  • For any vehicle, to know it is safe to use tire chains you will want to consult the owner's manual. Some cars can use chains only on one axle; others may be able to use tire chains only on specific tire sizes. The final authority on the question of tire chains is always the auto maker. You may also care to look at the linked tire chain article. I reviewed an online edition of the owner's manual for your car and on pages 6-77 and 6-78 Kia indicates the recommendation to use snow tires...

  • Do 245/75-16 Tires and 10x16.5 Tires Use the Same Tire Chains
  • I reached out to my contact at Pewag and there's a chance a single set of chains may fit both tire sizes but there aren't any designed for them. Size 245/75-16 tires use part # TC2221SCAM for square link chains while the 10x16.5 size tires use part # TC3210SCAM. The problem may be that the latter tires are wider causing the cross link chain to be too long for the 245/75-16 tires. With that being said they're not a lot wider, about 1/2 an inch or so depending on the tires so they may...

  • Recommended Traction Device for a 2017 Honda Pilot
  • According to the owner's manual for your 2017 Honda Pilot, tire chains must be Class S compliant, used only on the front two wheels, and of a cable construction. Therefore, for the 245/50-20 tires on your Pilot I recommend using the Titan Chain Cable Snow Tire Chains part # TC3010. The Titan Snow Tire Cables are Class S compliant and provide a very easy to use and install option. The low-carbon steel rollers on these ladder-pattern cable chains provide good traction in light snow without...

These Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains are unique in that they have a v-bar twist link which will do a phenomenal job of improving traction in ice. I have attached an install video for you which will show how they are installed. I recommend you test fit these chains for yourself in your driveway before you have to use...

  • Recommended Tire Chains for a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with 305/65R17 Mud Tires
  • Good news! I can help you figure out which chains will best suit your 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with BF Goodrich LT 305/65 R17 mud terrain tires. For you it will depend on if you are planning on off-roading with these chains on or just using them on the road in snowy conditions since wider tires tend to have a more difficult time getting traction in the snow. The diamond pattern will give you front to back and side to side traction, while the ladder style only provides front...

  • Adding Links to Tire Chains and Recommended Tire Chains for 2017 Subaru Outback
  • Depending on the type of tire chains you have, you may be able to add a few links on the inside to better fit your wider tires. As long as you have the proper tools and make sure the added width and links don't interfere with the truck's brake line, this should work just fine. Please note though that making any alterations like this will likely void the warranty on the chains. With that being said, since it sounds like you have been using these chains for a while, it may be time for...
