Video Transcript for Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster Review

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjusters. They're available for passenger vehicles, with part number TCMA1. That'll work with wheel sizes between 13 and 20 inches. They're available for light trucks, with part number TCMA 2. This will work with wheel sizes between 14 and 24 inches. Finally, they're available for heavy duty trucks, with part number TCMA3.

These will work with wheel sizes between 15 and 24 and a half inches. These rubber adjusters are designed to work with most Titan Tire Chains. They're going to give you the extra tension you need to make them nice and snug around your tire. They stretch for constant tension, providing a tight and secure fit. Our rubber adjusters attach to the center ring here, which allows it to maintain tension even if one arm breaks. Our attachment hooks make it easy to install.

We'll go ahead and show you that now. We've already got our Titan Chain installed, and as you can see, it's a little loose. Which, is a common problem. That's what our Titan Rubber Adjuster is here to fix. You'll want to be sure that the hooks are facing away from the tire. What we're going to do is go ahead and start by hooking the top.

Then, we're going to go directly across, hook the bottom, and then just work our way around. As you can see, it's already starting to tighten up that cable. That's what we want. Now, after you've got it installed, you can go ahead and put one on the other side. Once you've got them both installed, it's a good idea to drive a short distance, and then stop, get out, and check to see if you need to make further adjustments to your chain. That's going to complete our look at the Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjusters..

Had to chain up my 4x4 Silverado every time I went up and down the mountain on my hunt in Colorado last year. These new type of chain tighteners worked excellent. Headed back again on another to Colorado late Oct 2019 and they will be with me again. 717847

I ordered 2 sets of chains (1 set cable for RAM 3500 dually and 1 set for my RAM 1500 (TC2553) with the chain adjuster bands). I was very happy with the time frame from ordering the chains to receiving the chains. I got them before I had to get on the road to Colorado (5 days from order to receipt). I tried both sets on the truck and they were very easy to install and appear to be good quality. I do recommend that you review the installation instruction video to assist when it is the first time. I do recommend that you order the chain adjusters bands, as they will keep the chains tightly fixed to the wheel and keep them from tight on the tire and rim and keep them slapping the wheel well if they get any slack. I have not had to use these chains, I do not anticipate any issues. I am from snow country and have years of experience dealing with chains, these are easiest set I have worked with...I recommend this company and their products. 324699

I bought the chains for a pickup in advance of an elk hunt in Montana. I needed the chains to pull a camper camper up an off road snowy hill. I eventually got the camper out but caused much damage to the chains. I repaired by installing chain links. My next opportunity to use the product was on a snow filled frozen lake. Snow depth required me to use chains. After one day on the ice, the chains were ready for the garbage. I was disappointed in the rubber tire chain adjuster as well. Presumably these rubber straps would be used in a cold environment. None of the rubber straps survived being stretched at -30, they all broke without much effort. Adding to my frustration was the fact the warranty period was so short it made the warranty useless. Maybe the product works fine in a more civilized environment but I learned that; if you need a pair of chains, buy a real pair of chains, and not this product. I'll be interested to see if you actually include this review. 448580

Just received my chains yesterday. I have to say, first of, customer service is EXCELLENT! I had questions on which chains were best for my SUV and I was promptly responded with suggestions and links to videos. I went with these tire cables for my 2015 Dodge Durango SXT Plus. There was question about clearance issues with brake lines on the Durango and these seem to be very low profile and made for lower clearance. The price was right too. I did a dry install today and it was a breeze. Took way longer to fold these back up and put back into the storage bag! Lol! (That's not these chains fault, it's user error...) I took some pictures but note it was my first time installing tire cables so I'm going to have to center them a bit more. I purchased the Titan chain multi arm rubber chain adjusters and they did make a difference on how snug the cables fit, so I would recommend them. We only plan on using them on very rare occasions when we venture up the mountain, so in sure if you live where it snows all the time, you will probably look at higher prices chains, but I think these are perfect for the occasional use. I will update after our Big Bear trip if we use them to reflect actual use. Thank you etrailer, they also upgraded my shipping to get here a couple days earlier just because... that was amazing! 344228

The Titan Multi-Arm rubber tire chain adjusters are a pleasure to use compared to my old method of using individual rubber bungees. I bought these with my new Titan V-Bar snow chains and have driven out into the snowy woods a couple of times since installing them. The rubber adjusters are keeping my chains tight and secure. I did learn that the installation is easier if you hook the first arm at 12 o'clock, second at 6 o'clock, third at 2 o'clock, fourth at 8 o'clock, fifth at 10 o'clock and last at 4 o'clock. This method keeps the center ring centered on the wheel and allows you to pull down against the arm 180º across from the one you are hooking. 236505

I used separate individual rubber tensioners to tighten my truck tire chains. I ordered Titan TCMA2 chain adjusters and they worked more efficiently. The chain adjusters were easy to install and provided even six points of tension. I would recommend to anyone who orders truck chains. 175108

I purchased these chains, installed them for a check fit and kept them in the truck on my trip down to California driving the mountain passes in Oregon and California...As luck would have it I never had to chain up going south or when returning back home going north!!I am still highly impressed with the chains and I am glad that I purchased them from Etrailer!!

I just installed the V-Bar Chains and tried them out on my icy driveway. Wow, the traction is amazing. I installed these on my 1990 Ingersoll hydrive 4014 lawn tractor. The links are twice as thick as most other chains. Easy installation. Call to order as you will be completely satisfied with the people at etrailer as they are awesome to deal with. I highly recommend etrailer. Thank you 762940

Purchased these as a safety net driving from the lower 48 to Alaska in October of 2018. Fortunately never needed them until this winter. On a recent snowmobile trip I found myself stuck and luckily I carry these during the AK winter months. I had them installed and was unstuck in about 5 minutes. Highly recommend buying the titan chain adjuster/tensioner to go with them. etrailer was super easy to work with and extremely prompt in responding to questions when purchasing. Sorry no pic but should have gotten them in action. 749540

  • Recommended Adjuster for Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains
The Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster # TCMA2 that you referenced has been well reviewed by our customers and there is not an inherent problem that we are aware of. I would recommend that you keep the adjusters inside because the cold can also cause issues with rubber. There is another adjuster available for your Titan Snow Chains # TC2821 that I recommend you take a look at if you do not want to use the rubber version. Square links provide more edges to bite into ice. These feature case hardened steel alloy material strong enough for your towing needs. These will help front axle traction to maintain your steering and braking performance in mud, snow or ice. These chains will also be tough enough for off-road use. Use...
