Strong enough for frequent hauls without adding unnecessary bulk. This bias tire has a 4-ply rating and carries up to 785 lbs at 60 psi, while the galvanized steel wheel itself is rated for 1,250 lbs. Together they give you dependable load support for everyday towing and longer trips alike.
Moisture, salt, and road grime don’t stand a chance against the galvanized finish on the 12" x 4" steel wheel. The coating resists rust and keeps the wheel looking solid season after season. Its simple 8-spoke design is tough and functional, built for years of exposure to wet or humid conditions.
This bias tire uses thick nylon cords laid at a 30- to 45-degree angle in alternating layers. That crisscross pattern gives the sidewalls extra stiffness so the whole tire flexes evenly over rough or uneven surfaces. It delivers a steady, predictable ride that feels stable behind you at up to its rated 65 mph speed limit (K-rated).
Key dimensions are dialed in for simple matching: a 4 on 4" bolt pattern, zero offset, 2.84" pilot diameter, and 1/2"-20 wheel bolts. The outer diameter measures 20.5" when inflated with a section width of 4.8". Backed by a 5-year tire warranty, a limited 2-year wheel warranty, and Kenda’s 1-Year Worry-Free Guarantee, it’s a setup made to keep rolling without fuss or guesswork.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

I purchased a pair of 4.80 x 12 trailer wheels and tires, and they are exactly what I hoped for to replace the 4.80 x 8's that were on the trailer. I do not currently have any miles on them yet, hence the 4 stars rather than 5.

Small utility trailer, Stored outside, low mileage but they are holding air just fine.
i liked the service so much i ordered bunk rollers which came today.they realy are havey duty can not wait too get them on the trailer.you have excellent products and delivery is fast thanks wayne

So here's where the wheels and tires are headed , old wheels and tires are cracking like firecrackers .we try to navigate the lakes and ponds here in Wyoming
Wanted a spare for my small boat trailer. Couldn't seem to find one in town and the dealer who sold me the trailer wasn't any help. I had no trouble finding an exact match to the tires and wheels on my trailer and the service at E-Trailer can't be beat.
Company does not lack communication and shipping is reasonably fast.
I guess Kenda and loadstar is one in the same,my tires said Loadstar on the side.
i dont care about that and its a nice tire and wheel and looks like it will last a long time,fits my boat trailer and replaces worn and dry rotted tires and rusted wheels.
Wheels look better than the trailer.

Wheel/tire package arrived two business days after ordering and were packaged in a very heavy duty cardboard container which was very impressive. This was the best packaging I've ever seen for such a large mail item - credit to etrailer for not skimping out on this, especially considering it was FREE shipping. Not much to say about the wheels and tires, they are as advertised, look nice, and will be a huge improvement over the 8 inchers that came with my trailer package. I definitely will use etrailer again in the future.

I've had these for a year now, and I'm happy with them. I use the utility trailer about 10 times a year for various things like camping, hauling motorcycles, taking things to the dump etc. The trailer is outside all the time and the galvanized treatment is working great no signs of rust at all, they still look new. Tires are holding up well with little wear and the tubes inside must be good quality as the air pressure stay very constant. I would buy these again for sure.

We will see how well they hold up long term, but this tire and wheel combo was just barely more than the tires alone so I decided to replace the whole unit. My originals are starting to rust after 20 years so if I get close to that out of the wheels themselves I'll be happy. I hope the tires last 5 at least. A generic set of tires I bought last time didn't last 3 years in the sun.
Only negative is I wish the valve stems were slightly shorter. They stick out past the width of the wheel just barely and it seems they would be more vulnerable.

George, the tires dont show any signs of dry rot nor have went flat. The wheels dont show any rust yet. I wouldnt think either would have in just a year but thus far they are holding up great. As an aside, the local big box store] specials tires that were previously on that trailer dry rotted in 2 years and both failed on the same trip and really dinged up one of the wheels. It was usable, but rim dinged. Lets just say they wont ever see my trailers again. While I havent bought a lot from etrailer.com what I have bought seems to be priced about like some of the local budget brand stuff but seems like better quality stuff. Not premium, but good. I do wish etrailer.com carried more DIY small lawn cart type parts. I want to convert a small tire 2 wheel 15k generator to a larger/wider 4 wheel design with removable tow bar for lawn mower.
