Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a quick look at the shower strainers. This is going to be a replacement for your shower drain in your RV, and get you back to being able to actually use your shower. So we'll have the drain itself, the grid to keep out any debris, keep our hair from clogging up the plumbing. We'll also have a slip nut, the plastic washer, a lock nut, and our rubber washer.
So it's going to help us get everything tightened down and secure. And this is going to fit a drain opening up to two inches in diameter. I'm going to take the slip nut off of there, we can get a better look at the diameter overall. So from outside edge to outside edge, it does measure about 1-7/8 inches. So really that two inch drain hole opening is going to be about the size that this we'll work with. At the top, the outer diameter is going to be about two inches, just over 2-1/2 inches in diameter, maybe 2-9/16 of an inch.
The lengths of the threads, get that for you in just a second. I'm going to thread this all the way off. Take that rubber washer off as well. It does have some tach to kind of keep that in place, but we should be able to get that back on there. The threads measure just about an 1-1/2 long. And this is made out of a metal construction, it's a chrome plated steel.
So should be long lasting and resistant to any kind of rust or corrosion. And a lot of times you'll see sinks things with, there are the drains where they're actually made out of plastic, but this one is actually made out of metal. So that's definitely going to be a nice improvement over some of our other RV parts out there. But that's pretty much it for our look at the shower strainer with grid. If you need any other replacement parts for your RV, we have a lot of options available here at etrailer.com, including sinks, the basins, faucets, and things like that.
So definitely check those out if you need any other parts. Thanks for watching and we'll see you next time.
