When you’re covering serious miles, this setup is built for it. The 5.30R12 radial tire carries a 6-ply rating and handles up to 1,050 lbs at 80 psi. It’s speed rated M for 81 mph, so it’s perfect for longer road trips and steady highway towing. The radial construction uses double steel belts and double polyester cords, plus a nylon overlay that keeps tread separation from becoming an issue on hot pavement or long hauls.

Salt spray, rain, and road grime don’t stand a chance against this wheel’s finish. The steel wheel is treated with zinc phosphate for paint adhesion, then e-coated with a primer and topped with a baked-on silver acrylic enamel finish. That triple-layer process resists chips and scrapes better than powder coat finishes and held strong through more than 1,000 hours of salt spray testing. The finish keeps its clean look while protecting against corrosion season after season.
This steel modular wheel isn’t just strong—it’s designed to stay tight under load. With a 1,520-lb rating and beveled stud holes that help maintain clamp force on the hub, it holds torque longer without constant retightening. The automotive-rated center disc adds stiffness and helps the assembly stay true even after repeated trips loaded up.

Flat tire on the roadside? This assembly includes a 2-Year Platinum Plus warranty with complimentary roadside assistance. If you get a flat, a technician will come swap it out with your inflated spare—24 hours a day, seven days a week. That extra coverage adds real peace of mind when you’re far from home.
The combo pairs a 12" x 4" steel wheel (4 on 4" bolt pattern, 1/2"-20 bolts, 2.84" pilot) with a radial tire measuring 5.39" wide and 21.57" in diameter. Tread depth checks in at 6/32". Both the tire and wheel meet DOT specifications and exceed Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, so you can roll knowing every detail is up to spec.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Taskmaster 530 R12 Radial Trailer tire in a Load Range C, and it's mounted on this 12 inch Vesper Silver Modular Steel Trailer Wheel with the four on four inch bolt pattern. Now this tire wheel assembly's ideal for stock trailers, utility trailers, and campers. The wheel is a steel wheel. Has the modular design.
When we say "modular design," that's the one that has the round holes all the way around the wheel. That wheel is sturdy and corrosion resistant. They do use a silver acrylic enamel finish on it to resist chipping and other damage better than the power coat finishes. The finish is applied after a zinc phosphate pre-treatment, and then it covers an eco primer layer. So it does give the excellent corrosion resistance with a salt spray rating of more than a thousand hours.
Now the size of the wheel, the diameter, which is measured inside to inside, is 12 inches. The width on just the wheel is four inches wide. You mentioned the bolt pattern is a four on four inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel, that's an even number of lugs, like in this case, four, it's pretty easy because the lug holes are directly across from each other. So when you measure it, you just measure from the center, pick any hole.
Measure from the center of that hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. On this, it'll measure four inches. So that's a four lug, four inch bolt pattern. Wheel lug size it uses, a half inch by 20. And the weight capacity on just the wheel is 1,520 pounds.
Now if you notice, this does not have a center cap. It is not included. If you do want one, we do sell those separately on our website. You do wanna make sure to get one that'll fit this pilot hole diameter, 'cause when you install your center cap, it will go through this hole. The diameter on this is 2.84 inches. The tire is an ST tire, which means Special Trailer tire. Has the sturdy sidewalls so that it can handle heavy loads. It is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on other vehicles. It is a radial tire, which means it's constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for nice, long life. The tire is bank tested to ensure that the rubber holds up overtime. And it uses a nylon tread firming belt overlay to help prevent tread separation. The tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall. 5.30 R12. The R means that it is a radial tire. The section width is gonna be right at 5.4 inch. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated, it's 21.6 inches. The tire capacity, this is a load range C tire, which means it's a six ply rated tire. Has a maximum load capacity of 1050 pounds at 80 PSI. And the trailer tires are now coming through with a speed rating that they stamp on them. And on this one it's pretty small, but you can see it, right where the load range is, right above the load range, it'll say 81 miles per hour. So the speed rating on this is 81 miles per hour. The assembly, this whole tire and wheel assembly meets the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications, and it does exceed the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. This does also come with a two year platinum plus warranty, which will include emergency tire change service and other benefits. But that should do it for a look at this Taskmaster 530 R12 Radial Trailer Tire in a Load Range C, got it on this 12 inch Vesper Silver Modular Steel Trailer Wheel.
