Question:
Replacing wheels on boat trailer. 4 stud pattern. I want to increase wheel/tire size. Have plenty of clearance under fenders and boat weighs only 400 lbs. What is the diameter of 12” wheel plus tire.

Hi Robert!
The Kenda 4.80-12 Bias Trailer Tire with 12" Galvanized Wheel - 4 on 4 - Load Range B # AM30550 you were looking at has a diameter of 20.5" when fully inflated. This is a pretty typical diameter for a tire of this size, but a Radial option, like the # TA49QR, will be ever so slightly larger at 20.63" when fully inflated.
You said you had plenty of room, but how far is the bottom of the fender/wheel well from the top of the tire currently?

Hi Robert, Did you have a chance to measure the distance from the bottom of the fender to the top of your current tire? I'm asking because it will help ensure you have enough clearance for the new wheel size. If you're still looking for a solution, I'm happy to help!
