Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a real quick look at this Dexter multipurpose lithium grease. This multipurpose lithium grease is going to give you lubrication for a variety of applications. But this is going to work best for lubricating rolling parts, including wheel bearings and suspension systems. This is going to be ideal for marine, automotive, farm and industrial equipment. And this has an NLGI number of two, so this is about the same consistency as peanut butter.

And this has a drop point of 350 degrees fahrenheit. So you are going to receive this one 14 ounce cartridge. And that's going to conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy.

When filling your bearing buddies you do need to use the same lithium-based grease such as the Dexter Multi-Purpose Lithium Grease # DX64TR. You cannot mix dissimilar greases. Hello David, thanks for reaching out. The bearings for the Demco Kar Kaddy SS Tow Dolly # DM9713045 are sealed. So you cannot repack them. If the hubs are in need of replacement, you will need to replace the entire hub assembly with part # DM04369. There are zerk fittings on the king pin and tie rod ends, and Demco recommend greasing them every 2,500 miles. Based on the information I could find on your 2022 Forest River Wildwood FSX 179DBK travel trailer it has a 4,400lb axle. Does Grease Need To Be Added To Dexter Pre-Greased Trailer Hubs?
While the bearings for the Hub # 8-259-5UC1-EZ are pre-greased I do recommend filling the hub completely with Grease # DX64TR. If the hub has the grease zerk on the spindle you can easily fill the hub using a Grease Gun # L30416.

I checked with my contact at Curt and I was told the Curt RockerBall # C29FR does not come pre-greased, so you will need to add grease before initial use and install. Hey Tim, Our hubs and drums # AKHD-655-35-EZ-K, along with most out there come pre packed using a multi-purpose lithium complex grease. Any type that is the same lithium complex will work with any. Something like the Dexter # DX64TR is going to be a good option. Some say color matters but the most important thing is to make sure you get the correct complex grease to work with your hubs. The spindle on your Dexter axle is going to be similar to the #84 E-Z Lube Spindle # TRU74FR in the image below. You can see there is a hole in the spindle where the grease will push through into your inner bearing.
