Question:

I had a new SS yearsago, but let i sit, do dold it for scrap. I recently bought a used SS dolly BEST there is buy have couple questions. Are the wheel bearings sealed, or do i need to repack them? I also see some grease zerks by the wheels. How many grease zerks are there? How often do i grease them and any special type of grease? Thank you, David Urke

Hello David, thanks for reaching out. The bearings for the Demco Kar Kaddy SS Tow Dolly # DM9713045 are sealed. So you cannot repack them. If the hubs are in need of replacement, you will need to replace the entire hub assembly with part # DM04369. There are zerk fittings on the king pin and tie rod ends, and Demco recommend greasing them every 2,500 miles. You can use really any multipurpose lithium grease, like the Dexter Multi-Purpose Lithium Grease # DX64TR.

@Jesse The grease zerks went fine. I was told the wheel bearings were sealed bearings, so no need to re-pack them. I hope the information I received was corrrct
