A worn or bent axle can throw your whole setup off. This Dexter trailer axle beam brings everything back in line with a 3,500-lb weight capacity and high-strength steel construction you can count on. It measures 95" from hub face to hub face and 80" from spring center to spring center, giving your suspension the correct geometry for solid tracking and reliable handling mile after mile.
Keeping bearings packed doesn’t have to mean taking everything apart. The straight E-Z Lube spindles feature built-in grease zerks so you can pump in fresh grease right through the end of the spindle. The grease flows through to both the inner and outer bearings, pushing old grease out so you know it’s full—all without removing hubs or seals.
You’ll notice a slight bow in the middle of the axle—that’s intentional. Dexter builds in a bend that sets a zero camber angle once the weight of your trailer is on it. That means even road-to-tread contact across your tires for better traction, even wear, and steady straight-line towing without wandering or pulling.
Loading and unloading gets easier when the deck sits lower. This underslung axle has spring seats welded to the underside so your leaf springs mount below the tube. The setup keeps your trailer height low for simple access while maintaining full suspension travel and stability on the road.
Everything comes welded and aligned at the factory—spindles, 4-bolt brake flanges, and spring seats—so you don’t have extra setup work to do. The 2-3/8" outer diameter tubing matches standard 3,500-lb leaf-spring hardware, and it’s compatible with inner bearing L68149 and outer bearing L44649 (sold separately). It’s a straight-forward fit when you want to refresh or replace your trailer suspension with parts that just work.

Had the new axle installed on my car/equipment trailer for almost a year now. Working great no problems and reasonably priced.
Shipping was was fast, axel was wrapped and protected very nicely and I love the E-Z lube spindles.
When I purchased my 20' trailer, I didn't notice the axel was bent, the top of the tires were sticking out. I called the business where I purchased it and they told me I hit something. I need to replace the axel. After much searching, I found etrailer and after chatting with the very knowledgeable folks, I purchased a replacement axel with everything else I needed to to the job. It's been a year now and it's great. I would definitely use etrailer for all my future needs.

Simple installation and I love the grease setup where it greases from the back seal forward. After I did my normal packing of the bearings and cavity it took over a half of a tube or more grease. A lot easier maintenance than my old setup
just got the axles , look like the right one's. price was good and liked the free shipping. Did not like the time is running out statement on the free shipping. Is free shipping a limited time thing or everday? If it's free shipping on all orders $100 or more all the time then say so.

Disappointed. I bought a pair of these axles to replace the originals from my trailer, one of which had rusted so much that it broke. They are the same manufacturer and part number, but updated versions. Unfortunately, one of them already bent, while carrying the exact same load (a pickup truck) that the old rusted ones had handled just fine about five years ago. I like the fit and initial quality, the updated greasing system and nut retainer are nice, but really not something I care about--I'm fine with repacking bearings the old way and securing the nut with a cotter pin. I'm not sure that they are as strong, as the old ones lasted until they rusted out, and one of these has already had to be replaced less than a year after installation.
Awesome results. I purchased with new leaf springs and hardware. Very solid. I imagine that most of you struggling failed to research and measure properly. Take responsibility and own your results.

The axle, springs, and hardware has given me 0 issues. The 14 angle iron trailer frame will bend before the axle does.
The one of the new axles bent after the first use. Dexter replaced it under warranty but with one that didn't resemble the one I got from etrailer. It was made entirely differently. I used it and it worked but I'm not happy with the replacement since the angles of pre-load are different, the tires will wear differently and the unloaded look is different. Dexter customer service didn't care and basically told me to live with it. I have no problem with etrailer but am disappointed with Dexter.
Transaction was great and the best price I could find especially on Dexter. Cheaper than other sites and off brand axles.
Trailer axel fit properly without issues to replace an axel that broke probably from heavy loads on very potted country roads. So far this axel has held up and performed beautifully. Provided instructions and videos very helpful including information to select correct replacement axel. These folks go out of their way to help ensure correct installation and use. Far better than any other supplies I have used.

Only issue I found after unpacking the axle was no holes drilled for the U bolts.
Arrived quickly and was good quality. Installed easily and was a direct replacement.
Easy peazy, I've purchased two of these. Sure beats driving all over to find the right axle. Arrived timely and installed easily. Big trip next week so they will get the test, but dexter axels have great reliability.
This axle arrived super fast and was perfect. Zero issues. It even came pretty wired for brakes and had the spindle nut, washer and locking ring under blue protective covers.
I could be more satisfied.

Very pleased with this purchase. You sent exactly what I ordered and delivered to my door, 2 days after my order was made. I was concerned at first, as the spindle shape on the new Dexter, was different than the old Dexter… but everything went together smoothly, without having to buy any more new parts.
