What's up everybody. It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this WeatherTech Cargo area protector so this is gonna be a mat that goes in the back of your vehicle. And what it's gonna do is help that mess go on this mat and not underneath. If I pulled this up and see right underneath how much of a mess there is, and we even vacuumed it, we couldn't get all of it. So we're gonna have to really get in there and vacuum and take a lot of time to do that.
Now, if this mat was in place, that mess would be up on, on here. I could easily just take this out, spray it off with the hose and let it dry and then put it back in. Everything will be fine. Take a close look at the cargo area protector. It's gonna be made out of a blended TPE plastic so it does have some grip to it.
I'm gonna put my cooler in there and show you. So if it was just the carpet, it would slide very easily. Now it's an empty cooler, so it is sliding around but at least while you're driving, it does have some kind of grip on there where you can't just like, shove it across the cargo area. With that removed, you can look at the textured finish to it as well. We got these grooves that are in there making this pattern.
Not only for that, but for if liquid spilling here for a reason like maybe my cooler leaked or something, the water would fall down in these channels and be stuck here on the mat. Along with that is if you look. That it is gonna be custom fit for your vehicle, so make sure you use our fit guide to get the right one for the back of your vehicle. On this vehicle, you can see how it goes in all the areas, along the side, we also have a side-raised area so it's gonna keep that mess in there as well. Then you have lip here at the back and the front doing the same thing, just in case some water comes back here.
It's gonna keep that mess back here and the same thing with this lip up here towards the front. Another nice thing with it being made outta that TPE blended plastic is that when you go to lift up the compartment underneath, it's not gonna get in the way. So it's not gonna fight you. If it had a plastic core, it would just be more rigid, kind of stay in your way. This way you can lift it up and it's not a big deal. It gets outta there and with that lip towards the back, if there was a mess like I said before, and you lift up this cargo area, it would just push that mess down towards that lip at the end. Now, some specific instances you might need this. Let's say you got a stroller. You're going to a park for the day. You can load that up and in there on top of that mat and throw a cooler in there too. Here, you get to the park and then it's gonna be a little bit more mud than in your thought, maybe it rained and you went off the trail a little bit so you got some mud on the tires here or even the cooler leaked and there's water in there. This problem now is gonna be on the mat and not in the carpet. If you didn't have the mat, all that stuff would be stuck to the carpet. So you'd have that mud there that you'd have to get out of there and pick off the carpet. This way, it's all gonna be on this mat. So you just pull this out and let it dry or shake it off and get it off there or sprayed it off the hose and it's far easier to get rid of. Now, and this has happened to me is I had to transfer some concrete bags one time in the back of my car and I didn't have a floor mat. So when you go throw that concrete bag in there, the concrete dust is gonna go everywhere. And if there's any kind of dampness or wetness, it's gonna stick to that carpet and that's gonna be a problem down the road and it definitely was. So I really would've liked if I had a mat, it would've made it far easier to pull that out, clean it off. Wouldn't have had the problems I did in my vehicle. So, yard work is gonna be another one. You get some bags of mulch or anything that's a little bit dirty you wanna throw in the back here, some sports equipment. A lot of the ways, this is gonna come in handy to have, and just protect the back area of your vehicle. Let's go ahead and test out the mat. We're gonna pour some water on there and see how it handles. And see how it's going in those channels and pulling up like it's supposed to. That lip gonna keep it from spilling out and over into the interior. Overall, I think it's a good option to help protect the back cargo area of your vehicle. Now comparing it to the etrailer cargo area protector, that one's more like a cloth material. So it's not as rigid as this mat is. So, it's in three portions. It goes against the back, the main portion here, and then comes out towards this end. So maybe if you're getting this to just help protect if your dog rides back here with you, that one might be better because it comes out here around the bumper and it'll protect that from scratches and stuff right here. But if there was a mess on that one, pulling that out and trying to keep that mess contained within wouldn't be as easy. So this rigid mat can be far better for those scenarios. These cargo liners come in a variety of different colors so you can check 'em out and see which one matches the interior of your vehicle. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out. The fit is lacking quite a bit (like 3-5 inches off in places) also wish I didn’t get the one that covers the whole floor in one piece. I wish it was 3 pieces that snap together for easier cleaning because this design you end up dumping all the crud on the floor of the truck while trying to take the mat out to clean it.
Does not fit the 2018 Hymer Aktiv class B motorhome on Promaster chassis. See pictures. notches for seat posts are not even close. The floormat extends into passenger side lower step well causing trip/foot snag when entering vehicle. Does not extend into area between seats leading to another raised area prone to trip/foot snag. Not good for RV use. I gave it two stars for quality of material. I'll be requesting return/refund.
WeatherTech stands true to their claims of custom fit. My floor mats dropped in place with no effort. So much nicer looking than the plastic flooring in the cab of my motorhome. Clean up will be easier now that the mats are in place.
The product fit, at a gamble for me, ordering for a 2023 version of a 2022 product. I've previously been helped and appreciative of eTrailer for their stellar service and excellent video instruction.

Product was high quality as expected from WeatherTech. The mats fit perfectly in the strange configuration. It also firmed up the factory flooring. Exact fit, USA made. Only regret is the hook to retain the mat (OEM on the car) may make a place for water and slush to leak onto the floorpan. I have had Weathertech mats on several vehicles, I'm a believer. Keeps salty slush and water from being soaked into the carpet/ padding and rusting out the floorpan from the inside out. While more expensive than imports and imitation mats, they wear like iron and are worth the extra money.
Received the mats 6 days after ordering using the "free shipping "option. I feel this is reasonable and the tracking provided was accurate and up to date.
Now about the mats. I have owned many vehicles and have always tried to protect the interior and keep it as new looking as possible. I believe these mats will help me do that. In s word, they are great. They fit really well and the color match is spot on. The texture is non-slip and they are flexible enough that taking them in and out is a very easy. In short they are perfect for my vehicle and I would most certainly buy them again.
I will definitely use "etrailer" again for any products I need that they carry.
Cargo mat delivered did not completely
Fit the cargo area. I'm assuming the wrong mat was sent. 2018 Chevy Equinox LS . Waiting for response back from eTrailer. I called 800 # on July 11, 2017 three times from 4:30pm to 5pm EST and computer prompt for service with product was #3. On hold twice for over 15 minutes with no explanation or human contact. Called third time and used prompt 1 for sales thinking they would surely pick this call up. Same 15 minutes on hold without any contact. Hung up again after unnecessary wait.
Hopefully this will get worked out and at the minimum a credit should be offered for the screw up and non existent customer phone service.
The mat is a perfect fit in our Airstream Atlas. And received quickly. HOWEVER, there were two TechGrip II B grips for vinyl, not one for vinyl and one for carpet (TechGrip II), and of course we need one for carpet. I will upgrade my review to five stars if I receive a TechGrip II for carpet from etrailer as I do not want to spend $xx+ ordering one when it should have been included……
This is the second set of driver and passenger floor mats that I received From E trailer. Neither set fit my car.
It looks and fits great like a weathertech match. Perfect fit.
Both side edges would not lay flat. I had cut and install under door sill plate, otherwise pleased with the product.
Product was delivered quickly and fit perfectly. Only issue was that the box was open upon receipt, but luckily all parts were still in the box. Would recommend additional tape be applied to box prior to shipping.
Overall an excellent product.
Fits our 2022 sprinter perfectly. I let it sit in the sun for a few minutes before installing. That made it easy to fit into plaice.

Best protection for the cargo area of the Tahoe. We removed the third row of seats, and are enjoying the travel ride for four adults with lots of luggage!
The quality of the product is excellent. No debating that. My disappointments the design does not make it easy to pull out the Stow-Away chairs and when the chairs are stowed away, it leaves a square opening. Not sure how one would design that but I suspect there were trade offs. Overall, they will stay with the van. My wife likes to keep one seat down as we haul the handicap equipment in the back and groceries behind the driver's chair. I have one pictures of a carpet square in the opening of the floor mat.
Laser precision my ass. This will leave you with about a two-inch lip which you will trip over in the center console area. They are sold out of the center plastic connector piece.
My review was for the weather tech floor mats for the front of the Chevy Silverado. The mats are great to a point but the wear and tear in the weak spots are terrible especially. On the driver's side foot rest heel is very thin and is creating a several small holes in the liner. Especially when my girlfriend drives with her heels on. She literally got the heel stuck thru the liner
The new mats easily install and won't slide or slide around like conventional mars. They look good. Fast turnaround from etrailer, a good company to work with.
Great for protecting the carpet and fits excellent. However, it holds onto dust pretty strongly and therefore requires me to use a pressure washer to clean it thoroughly. Also, there is a larger than desirable gap between the back wall of the liner and the rear seats. I find that things often go missing in this gap which is annoying.
As always etrailer was very quick to process my order and get my products to me in a timely manner. I did notice that the box these came in had a small puncture in the side. Luckily none of the products were damaged, but the delivery drivers would most likely be the ones to blame for the damage to the package. So far I’m impressed with these mats, they definitely do a good job at keeping mud and water from getting on the carpet, and even do a good job of keeping the dirt and dust to a minimum. I do wish somehow there was some sort of protection for the carpet between the seat and the door sill plate. This seems to be an area that is extremely difficult to keep the carpet dirt and dust free. Also, it would have been nice to see some more protection up the side of the transmission tunnel on the passenger side because passengers seem to like to put their muddy feet wherever they please, but even if it were covered they would still find some carpet to make dirty! Other than that, these are some very tough, rugged, well-fitting floor mats for my truck!
Really like the way they look and the coverage is excellent. The mats allow room for the seats to move forward for access to the third row seat, while allowing good coverage for the foot area in the second row seating.
Product was excellent but the box it came in was very beat up. Understand it's a floor mat and meant to be walked on and beat up.
