Hey Paul, thanks for dropping by! I actually spoke with Dexter and they let me know that you have a 3,500 lb axle with a 93" hub face and 80" spring seat measurement so you could use the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with E-Z Lube Spindles # 8327864. The only issue I'm running into is that there are no hubs with a 5 on 4 1/2 bolt pattern that fit this axle.

To use this axle as a replacement you'd also need to then swap your hubs and brakes with the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 42866UC3-EZ with the mounting hardware # BRKH12.

You could also use an all in one kit with the Dexter Trailer Axle w/ Electric Brakes # 8327864-EB.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to drop a comment and let me know!

Thanks Bryce. I have no problem going with a different bolt pattern since I have to replace my tires anyway. My trailer doesn’t have brakes and I would prefer a kit. Do you have anything with a different bolt pattern that would work?

@Paul Do you already have a 7-way on your trailer? If not, you need to add one first with # ETBC7. From here you can then add the new brakes # AKEBRK-7-SA and a brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195.

@BryceD I have a small utility trailer that’s used around the house and I don’t see the need for brakes.

@PaulG Yeah that makes sense, Paul. So then with the axle you'll just need the hubs # AKIHUB-865-7-1-EZ-K and you'll be good to go.

I’m sorry it’s been a while but I’m finally ready to go with the axle and hubs you have recommended. Can you please recommend a 16” tire/wheel that will fit my trailer which currently has 205/75 15” tires/wheels.

@PaulG Thanks for reaching back out to us! For a replacement tire/wheel set I recommend the Kenda Karrier KR53 ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tire with 16" Black Mod Wheel # KE22EV. This is a simple but reliable kit, and it matches with what Bryce has already recommended for you. This will be bigger than your current tire, but not big enough for it to cause any issues.
