Question:
Good morning. I need to replace my axle on a 2004 Triton Elite- WWII PWC trailer. I would like to upgrade to a heavier axle. What do you recommend? Thanks, Keith

Hello Baxter, thanks for reaching out. We may have an axle upgrade for you, but there is no way to look up your trailer to know exactly what size axle you will need.
The most important thing is to match the axle hub face (HF) length and spring center (SC) length. There might be a tag or sticker on the axle that shows this, otherwise you will need to measure.
I will also need to know the weight capacity of the current axle, or the GVWR of the trailer itself.
For example, the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam # 7359765 is a 3,500 lb capacity round tube leaf spring axle. It has a 95" HF and 80" SC measurement.
Shoot me that info for your axle when you get a chance and I'm happy to look into it and see if we have a replacement.
Does your trailer use a leaf spring axle? Or is it a torsion axle?

Spent 1000$ on axles straight from the factory special order. waited two weeks to get them when they came they were only axle stubs on either side installed them had to re use the old hubs because you didn’t have any in stock to match the axles I needed. Finally put them in loaded a truck on it drove six hours one way by the time I got there both axles were bent drive home empty popped two tires on the way home ruined my fenders and hubs parked the trailer and there it sits Bought 700$ worth of hubs in hopes I was wrong and just the old hubs were the problem because everything was tipped in towards the inside of the trailer knowing thr bearings were smoked i installed them only to confirm that the trailer axles are in fact junk yet again
