When winter roads turn slick or you hit a steep grade, the twist link cross chains keep your tires gripping instead of spinning. Their rounded shape digs in for traction in snow and still gives you some bite on light ice. That means you can keep steady control on those mountain passes and unplowed backroads instead of getting stuck halfway up.
If you’ve ever felt your whole car shake with bulky chains, you’ll appreciate how small, rounded 4.5 mm (0.177") links make for a smoother ride. These low-profile chains meet SAE Class S clearance standards, so they fit well in tight wheel wells without rubbing or thumping every turn. They’re a sturdier, more durable “just-in-case” option than standard cable chains.
The ladder-style layout gives you solid forward traction for climbing hills, pushing through drifts, or crawling out of deep driveways. Each cross chain grabs in sequence as your tires roll, so the car keeps pulling straight even when the snow piles up.
Some chains use cams that can back off when you reverse or hit rough ground. These don’t. The manual connection design means nothing comes undone mid-drive. When you want that extra-snug fit, add rubber adjusters (sold separately) to keep the chains tight as you roll.

The entire chain is made from low-carbon steel for strength and durability. It can handle repeated use in snow and slush without stretching or snapping. After each trip, dry them and store them in the included reusable case so they’re ready whenever the next storm hits.
