When you’re climbing steep snowy roads or dealing with glare ice, these low-carbon steel chains dig in for solid traction. The rounded twist links bite into snow and ice while keeping vibration to a minimum, so you can crawl out of deep snow or up a slick incline without the harsh jarring you feel from square links. The ladder pattern adds steady pulling power for controlled starts and stops even on steep, slick grades.
These are built for the kind of terrain where tires alone just don’t cut it. The ladder-style cross chains give you a consistent bite so you can keep rolling through deep snow or muddy backroads. Reviewers mention off-road trips and mountain drives where the twist links gave amazing traction—enough grip that the only way to stop moving was getting high-centered. The pattern keeps your tires churning forward instead of spinning in place.
When you’re backing up or bouncing across uneven snow, you don’t want hardware popping loose. These chains use a manual, no-cam adjustment that stays locked even in reverse or when the road gets rough. Once tensioned, they stay put so you can focus on the drive, not constant retightening. For an even firmer hold, you can add rubber or chain adjusters (sold separately).
Each link is made of low-carbon steel for strength and durability that holds up to repeated winter use. They’re built to handle the stress of heavy traction pulls without bending or snapping. After you’re done, drying and treating them helps keep surface rust at bay and ensures they’re ready for the next storm.
Each chain wraps around the dual tires on one side of a rear axle, giving full coverage that’s ready for mountain travel or chain-law zones. With a fit that covers tires from 15" up to 22", this 1-axle set comes with two complete chains and a reusable canvas storage bag. The 0.281" (7.1 mm) links are rated for up to 30 mph, so you get rugged traction built for serious winter conditions.

Ratings & Reviews
Have not used yet but chains appear to be of good quality.
I can't do a one year review, because the tire chains broke with 5 minutes of the first install.
They are still laying in the same spot in the scrap metal pile.
Cheap steel, weak cross links, overall a poor excuse for a heavy duty application, would not recommend
fit - not used yet
First time purchasing tire chains I must say this Titan product is pretty heavy duty I like the chrome finish I’m running a BFG all terrain 32x11.5 R15 the fit was perfect I would like to give a shout out to etrailer customer service team very professional & knowledgeable new exactly what chain was needed having provided lots of choices and option's that was important to me there shipping was very fast impressed caught me by surprise there communication was great keeping us informed the entire process they surely deserve this 5 star review thank you
Great customer service, I would highly recommend etrailer for your next purchase.
Quick turn around between ordering and to my door step
Keep up the great work.
Delivery was quick and on the day promised. Haven't used the tire chains yet so cannot provide feedback on them.
I bought these to go hunting in Colorado. I haven't used them extensively, but they did fit my 2021 GMC ATR nicely and for a novice they seemed very straight forward to install. I would recommend purchasing the chain tensioners. You may want to cut the extra links off so they don't hit the rim. I just attached one of the tensioners to mine and it seemed to secure it.
Quality seems good, fit is perfect. We will see how they hold up to pulling the horses this fall.
/Box came apart but that is what is expected on tire chains.-All good -Great service!
Good chains for the price. Used them about 6 X with out a problem. Be sure to get the rubber tensioners as they help a lot. Just a note and I'm pretty sure the e-trailer review said something about it but they are only good up to about 15 MPH not that you need to go that much faster but on a several mile trek back to the cabin it would be nice to do 30 or so..... the fact that they do their job is reason enough for four stars. If they would just install themselves.... bwahahaha
Chains seem to be made top quality. Only test fit them so far with perfect fit on a 35x12.5 r18 tire. Hopefully I dont have to use them but the security of having them and knowing the quality and fit is great is worth it.
Chains looked good. After watching installation video it was a breeze to put on. They fit perfect. I’m only testing them right now so when I need to use them I’ll be more comfortable. I drove 1:2 mile down & back and the chains hadn’t moved.
I bought them just in case I need them on a trip I’m going on. I tried one on my tire and it fit really good.
The chains were used for an off road job to assist a 2WD truck with traction and performed perfectly. Very easy to install and remove. Customer service was very good as well.
These things are amazing. The quality was better than I expected. Seriously nice snow chains.
Product was bought for my ram 1500 4x4 I wanted a heavy duty set of chains for mud and snow and these chains did not disappoint very sturdy looking construction cant wait to try them out up on the mountain!
I bought a pair of twist link (TC3235) for my front tires and V-Bars (TC3835) for my rear tires, so writing a combined review. The V-Bars have more traction but my front end doesn't have as much clearance so I opted for the twist links in the front. I've now used these offroad 4 times, and once briefly onroad during a major ice storm that left all of our roads with skating rink type ice.
First - both chains fit 37" x 12.5 R18 tires perfectly. This is despite the fitment not being listed on etrailer.com and the etrailer CS rep telling me they wouldn't fit. The Titan catalogue / website does list 37x12.5R18.
Second - two pair of chains *just* fit in a milwaukee packout "Compact Tool Box" (model No: 48-22-8422). There isn't a wasted inch of space. After using them, I dry them in my garage, then douse them in WD-40 before putting them back in the packout. These chains are made from an alloy that prioritizes strength over corrosion resistance, so surface rust appears pretty quickly on them. Be warned that lifting all four chains together is heavy.
Third - They give amazing offroad traction. The only way you're getting stuck is by getting high-centered. You will not run out of traction if you have weight on your tires. However, it is easy to get high centered when using these in the snow if you aren't careful. Don't spin your tires, or your axles and frame rails will be holding the vehicle while your wheels hang in the air.
Fourth - I would only recommend using these onroad in very limited circumstances. During an ice storm I had to get a neighbor to the hospital. We live on an extremely steep hill and the roads had 1" of clear ice on them. With the chains it was like the ice wasn't there. But the whole truck vibrated a lot. And it probably prematurely wore the chains. If I drove faster than ~15-20 mph it really rattled the truck. (offroad in the snow I'll drive 40+ mph no problem with these. but driving on hard surfaces causes a lot of vibration).
