Traditional blade-style plugs can corrode or loosen over time, but the EZ Connector’s magnetic contacts snap together with a watertight seal that keeps moisture out. The cable has a water-block power feature that helps prevent corrosion and protects the wiring from dirt and debris. That means cleaner power delivery and fewer connection issues when towing in wet or dusty conditions.
The magnets in these connectors are strong enough to stay locked together while driving, yet they still pull apart easily when you’re unhooking the trailer. The wiring includes 10-gauge leads for the 12-volt accessory and ground circuits, allowing up to 40 amps of current to flow—enough for heavy trailer loads or accessories like fridges and chargers. Each function wire is clearly defined: white for ground, red for left turn, brown for right turn, black for auxiliary power, green for tail lights, yellow for reverse lights, and blue for brakes. That gives you dependable performance across every lighting and brake circuit.
Instead of replacing your existing 7-way plug, this setup installs inline so both connectors can be used. You keep your factory 7-way while gaining the convenience of a magnetic quick-connect option for alternate trailers or bed connections. You didn’t include information that the short metal plate on the installation video wasn’t included so therefore i had to order it later and incur a shipping charge.
This worked on my 2018 Toyota Tundra. No more problems with my trailer connector coming loose.

been using this product for 7 months in Alaska rough dirt roads, ice, snow, rain. and this is the first time I have had no issues with my trailer electrical vibrating and coming loose or corroded connections. I tell everyone that i see about these and I can not believe more people don't know about these up here!!!

Love this connector. It is very high quality and comes complete with weather tight covers for both the trailer pig tail and the connector on the truck. Watch etrailers install video, it installs in minutes and let's you keep your factory 7 pin connector and 4 pin connector. I installed in on a RAM 2500 for use on my boat trailer since I installed a new Dexter electric/ hydraulic disc brake actuator. Also, don't get your finger caught between the cable end and the trailer frame...the magnet will do some damage to your finger tip. The magnets are very powerful. Again high quality product and I will buy again for future trailers. Thank you etrailer.

I love this thing. I know I always have the best possible connection when pulling my camper and because of how it installs I still have the use of my factory connectors for other pulling needs.

Very Happy with this product. Install was as advertised. It completely solved the “chatter” I was experiencing with the traditional 7 pin connector. This winter while out on the road I noticed some moisture and corrosion in the connector. It hadn’t affected the performance at all but it seemed odd. I called and spoke to Joe at EZConnector. He asked a couple of questions about the trouble I was having. Then he said he’d send me a whole new set up. I installed the new one when we got home and we will take our first trip with it in a couple weeks. I can’t thank Joe enough for the excellent customer service!
The EZ Connector is by far better than the OEM 7 blade connector. I was having connection and corrosion issues with the original connector but after installing the EZ Connector I am not experiencing any issues. It works flawlessly. I did have to source some local hardware to complete the installation.

After a year of use the EZ Connector is still dong great. The magnet is strong and holds the connection solid and motionless. It is easy to stow when the trailer is disconnected. Just attach it the the supplied receptacle, which I mounted on the trailer frame. Great product.
So easy to install! I'm so glad I switched to this EZ magnetic connector. just had to buy a couple of self tapping screws.
Magnets on this are very strong. No worries about this coming apart. Installed on my F150 was very straightforward. You are able to keep your existing 7-way as well. Very cool! So far so good. I would recommend this if you have issues with your old 7-way not connecting well.

Still great! I moved the connector to my 2022 F150 and fit is perfect again. I did have to use self tapping bolts for this as the holes in the underside of this 2022 hitch do not match up like the 2018 hitch did. But the connector itself is still working great.

I still love this product. Trailer lights were always a problem until I installed it. Since then, never an issue.
