Specs:
BoatBuckle's PLUS system takes the standard hook-and-loop rod tie-down and adds a SUR-Grip rubber release handle and rubber grommets that shield your rods from the included metal installation hardware. Install the longer lower strap and the shorter top strap on your boat's deck, making sure that there is enough distance between them to firmly hold the bottom and top of your four fishing rods.

Hi there, I'm Michael with each trailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this BoatBuckle Fishing Rod Hold-Down Plus System. This system is gonna provide these 2 sturdy seatbelt quality polyester webbing straps that will loop around up to 4 fishing rods with reels, and then hooked together with this strong hook and loop closure here to keep your fishing rods in place. Now this bottom one does have the sure grip, rubber coated release handle. It's gonna be very easy to hold onto and control with just one hand. So you can open it up and get access to your rods.
Very easy to get this installed. They do include all the hardware that you're gonna need. And as well as these rubber grommets, that will allow the screw heads to be recessed and help protect your equipment from scratches from the hardware. So very easy to just drill a couple holes for each grommet, get those mounted in place, and then lay your pulls down over top and put the hook and loop strip there. And it's gonna be nice and secure for you.
Our bottom strap is going to be 2 inches thick by 10 inches long. Our top strap here is 2 inches thick by 6 inches long. So this is gonna be down by your reel end, which is gonna be a little bit thicker. And then this end, it will be up on the other end. So really nice system here to make sure that your fishing rods are held in place.
So you don't have to worry about losing them overboard or they're not being where you need them to be when you get an urge to go fishing. So that's going to complete our look at this system. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

It also looks sharp on your boat.I really do like my boat buckles because they just what they advertised, but for only being a year old they don't take the sun and elements very well. My buckles on the bow of my boat I use to hold my nets in place while I'm on plane seem to be holding up better the the 2 I use in the back to hold my rods down. When my boat is not on the water it is in a climate controlled barn so the only exposure they get is when out fishing (about 175 days a year) my rear buckles have already faded and began to curl and show signs of the elastic breaking down, this is the 2nd set I have replaced 5 years. But like I said, they do a great job
I got this product in the mail after seeing a picture and description of it online. Since it is mid-december in northern New Jersey I haven't put it on my boat yet, but the quality is exactly what I hoped. The cloth and velcro seem to be stitched extremely well and the plastic grip that is made for pulling apart the velcro seems to be very sturdy. I can't wait to put this on my boat in the spring.
I suggest the product based on quality of the material...I expect good results.

After a year this product has held up well. Installation was simple as is use. Definitely purchase this product if you need rod tie downs on a bass boat.
Easy install and works great! This product is exactly what I needed.
I got these straps to use on my boat for my oars.
I think they will work very well.
I haven't installed them yet so not sure how they will hold up? But I will say I like the odds. They appear durable, seem like they will be a great way to keep rods and reels up off the floor, secured to the gunwales and keep rods from breaking. I like the way they, attach simple system. I will update the review as they get used.
Looked at several solutions to hold my high dollar fly fishing rods on my boat. Looked at several options. This was far and away the best solution. Easy to install and easy to use on the water
they work great !
Very durable yet light weight. I have had these on my power drifter and they still hold up good even after having them for 2 years. I like this system cause I can simply secure them and not worry about them flying out of the boat or getting in the way of clients stepping on the rods. It really made more room in the boat to free up floor space not to mention there's no hard plastic on these so they don't rub or wear on the rod blanks. Highly recommend these for your boat. You will not be disappointed.
I have used these for years in our small fishing boat. Just added them to our blazer river boat to hold our salmon and steelhead rods. These rod holders work great. holds the rods where you put them. This is my third set of them. Had them mounted in the boat the same day I received them
Thanks
Randy
Easy ordering on line, great website and fast shipping!!!
Good product
Fast delivery! Pleasure doing business with you!
Item was exactly what i expected and was easy to install.
I do mostly fly fishing and run a guide service. I have been looking for a way to mount rod holders in my boat. I don't have a lot of room and when I saw the Boat Buckle rod holder I decided to give it a try. Great product and perfect for my boat and holding my fly rods.
Great service and product
Installed in my bass buggy pontoon boat since there were no fishing rod holders designed into the boat. The holders were easy to install, securely holds the rods in place, and are easy to use. Good quality material.
I have bought 2 sets of these one I put one in my boat. The other I put in my ice fishing rod holder box. I modified it slightly and glued it in the Ice rod box. These buckles protect the poles way better than anything supplied with an ice fishing rod holder box. Also the price is more than worth the value I highly recommend!!
I purchased these Boat Buckles to use as rod holders for the top of my SUV. After a year of using them i wouldn't change a thing. Not only do they hold down the rods securely enough to drive on the highway with them, but they hold enough rods that i can transport my friends rods as well.
I'm starting a project boat, and will most likely include these on the deck for when im moving to my secret fishing spots.
Holds Rods in place. Dont have to worry about them flying out of the boat. Great product Very Happy with them. Had them now for a year, so far so good.
The product has held up well. It holds the rods secure. You can put the product where it doesn't take up a lot of space. It is difficult to get more than 3 rods in the Boatbuckle.
Very nice and secure rod holder. I like the hidden fasteners on these better than the Rod Saver brand that these are replacing.
Nice can use with or without belt
These boat buddies worked great. Mounted horizontally on a jon boat. Middle and back seat. Hardware worked like a charm. Very pleased so far.
i havenot used the rod holders yet.

It has been a year since installing my Boat Buckles. As I have said from the beginning I really like them they keep my net on the bow very secure while the boat is in motion, the buckles I use for my rods are still functioning, but they will need to be replaced soon. The more I use them the less elasticity they have they still work but the more they stretch the more unsightly they become when they are not in use. I will be looking for replacements I plan to stay with Boat Buckles, but keeping my options open.
