Video Transcript for Checking Out the Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster for Passenger Vehicles

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjusters. They're available for passenger vehicles, with part number TCMA1. That'll work with wheel sizes between 13 and 20 inches. They're available for light trucks, with part number TCMA 2. This will work with wheel sizes between 14 and 24 inches. Finally, they're available for heavy duty trucks, with part number TCMA3.

These will work with wheel sizes between 15 and 24 and a half inches. These rubber adjusters are designed to work with most Titan Tire Chains. They're going to give you the extra tension you need to make them nice and snug around your tire. They stretch for constant tension, providing a tight and secure fit. Our rubber adjusters attach to the center ring here, which allows it to maintain tension even if one arm breaks. Our attachment hooks make it easy to install.

We'll go ahead and show you that now. We've already got our Titan Chain installed, and as you can see, it's a little loose. Which, is a common problem. That's what our Titan Rubber Adjuster is here to fix. You'll want to be sure that the hooks are facing away from the tire. What we're going to do is go ahead and start by hooking the top.

Then, we're going to go directly across, hook the bottom, and then just work our way around. As you can see, it's already starting to tighten up that cable. That's what we want. Now, after you've got it installed, you can go ahead and put one on the other side. Once you've got them both installed, it's a good idea to drive a short distance, and then stop, get out, and check to see if you need to make further adjustments to your chain. That's going to complete our look at the Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjusters..

Ordered tire cables for my 2013 Ford Focus. Looked great but were a bit loose. Got the TCMA1 & it really snugged the cables well. The rubber straps are really strong and require a lot of (my 78-year old) muscle, but they give a really solid grip on the cables. Hoping I don't have to use them but they offer peace of mind, just in case. The staff at etrailers was very helpful. Thanks folks.

Received just in time for a big snow. Installed on 32" tires on 15" rims. Had to bend open all of the hooks because they wouldn't hook onto the chains, but I think that's ok because I don't think they are made for the type of chains I have. Only used once, but they did their job.

by:

All the hooks had to small of a gap to hook on my chains. After spreading the gap to fit I went to put them on and the rubber snapped in two before I could hook the opposite side. Absolute junk.

Hey Ronald. That doesn't sound like a good experience at all. I'm more than happy to get some replacement shipped out to you if you would like. Let me know and I can take care of that for you.

These Titan Chain/Tire Chain Adjuster are perfect, thank you...

by:

Tensioners as described, nice quality, quick shipping, I test fit them with cable chains and they apply good even tension.

by:

Excellent all around, right from live chat help, ordering the right part & shipment. I would not think twice to order from ETRAILER again for my vehicle needs!

@John Great! Glad to hear it, and thanks for sharing. Come back anytime you need anything.

Pretty flimsy, broke pretty fast, also a bit flimsy to install. I wasn't very impressed and wouldn't buy them again.

by:

This is the 3rd set of chains I've bought from eTrailer, the first 2 sets were for my work truck and this most recent purchase was for my personal truck.

I work as a delivery driver and bought the first set of chains because i don't have a lot of say which snowy/icy roads i deliver to. Being a work truck the first set of chains got abused a bit so when they finally failed it wasn't unexpected, but up until that point they were nothing short of perfect.

So far the 2nd set for my work truck is going strong (with a bit more effort not to abuse them as much).

This 3rd set is for my personal truck and more for peace-of-mind than anything else, i doubt they will see more than extremely rare use but i have no doubts that they will work as well as i expect them to.

I have not yet taken advantage of the "customer service" from eTrailer since every single thing I've ordered has been received and worked exactly as expected. Communication regarding my order and shipping has always been excellent and even better than i expected. Shipping has been super fast and I've received my products days before i thought i would.

***the picture included isn't exactly the best but you can see the chains and conditions that day (that truck is about the worst vehicle for driving in winter conditions)... also those chains are a different size but they are the same chains.

by:

These broke after 10 minutes or less of use.

by:

Excellent price for a wonderful product. The chains constantly fell off the snowblower before installing these multi-arm rubber tire chain adjusters and
have had zero problems since. VERY HAPPY!!

ATV tire chain tighteners. Rubber, not springs. Good design, and should last if rubber formulation is good. Won't rust. Good price.

Front chains will not fit my Polaris ATV. Hits the shock.

by:

I bought the multi-arm rubber tire chain adjusters to go with some chains I just bought on sale at WM (post winter). Although, I hope I never need to use them, up here in the Northwest, you don't want to be crossing mountain passes in winter without chains on board!
They arrived quickly and the communication (and price!) from etrailer was great. I recommend these guys.

by:

Work great but unfortunately they are on a vehicle which sits from November until April, unless it snows and I need to plow and the rubber stretch part of tensioner rots and cracks up and then breaks (am guessing from constantly being exposed to sun light). Normally go thru two pair a season because of this and different brands have no effect on longevity.

by:

Everything you'd want in a chain tension system!

-Provides adequate tension without being impossible to get on
-Rubber is super durable, used for an entire winter and didn't show signs of damage or fatigue

Only con was the hooks weren't quite burly enough and would bend from time to time. I could bend them back with a pair of pliers and they didn't break but over time, bending the metal back and forth like that will fatigue the metal and it will break.

Overall this is a great product and definitely top of its class for the price point!

by:

I couldn't get '5 star' excited over a set of traction devices because I haven't used them yet, but until that moment I'm very satisfied. The price was right, the shipping was fast and the installation?? well, they're tire chains...but after a couple of practice runs, they seem to be as easy as any to install. Here's to hoping the roads are smooth and dry and I never have to use them. They now have a happy home in the trunk of my car.

by:

Great product, fair pricing, great customer service, and all of this while getting them across the country, on time, during a massive storm system. The adjusters work perfectly. My chains came included with a tensioner integrated into them, but these adjusters: a) make the chains fit much better (even with the integrated tensioner), b) are super easy to use, and c) are pretty cheap for how much better they make the chains work. They install in literally seconds and guarantee a tight fit. I'd buy these again in a heartbeat.

by:

I am using these to secure tire chains on the front wheels of a Kubota 3900 tractor.
These things are fantastic. They keep the chains tight and centered on the tires. Work way better than bungie cords.

by:

Only had to use the tire chains once last winter for a short distance over the coast range in Oregon, which I think is a success. The chains appear to be well made, are easy to install and they performed well. I would buy them again.

by:

Thank you! Excellent customer service from etrailer. This is a very nice product and keeps the snow chains tight.

Ordered this item together with the tire chain for my 2015 Lexus IS250 for upcoming trip to Big Bear and you can tell Etrailer only carries very high quality products and that's why Etrailer won my trust for future purchase.

  • What Tire Chains do You Recommend for My 2019 Subaru Crosstrek with 225/60-17 Tires?
I did some research on your 2019 Subaru Crosstrek with standard 225/60-17 tires, and I discovered that the owner's manual suggests class-S tire chains installed on the front tires only. It is important to go by the manufacturer's guidelines outlined in the manual to make sure you avoid damage in your vehicle's wheel wells. With that being said, we always recommend tire chains over tire cables because tire chains ultimately give you more traction on snow/ice. For the tire chains route,...

The difference between the # TCMA1 and # TCMA2 is the size and type of vehicle that they're designed for. There is no difference in quality, just a difference in the size and types of tires they're used on. If you're using these on chains for your 2014 Toyota Prius c, you'll want to use the # TCMA1.

In order to get the correct fit of tire chains on your 2021 Honda CRV FWD to make your Colorado visits stress free, I had to do a bit of research to discover the factory tire sizes on your tires. I found out that the most common factory tire size for your model is 235/60-18. In order to know if these are your tires, I recommend checking out the numbered size on the face of your tires.
