Plug-and-play custom harness gets turn and brake signals on your towed car with no hardwiring or splicing, and no effect on your warranty. The built-in diodes protect your car from electrical feedback.

A combined lighting system, or 2-wire system, uses the same light bulb to signal both braking and turning. (In other words, the car signals a turn by flashing the brake light.)
A separate lighting system, or 3-wire system, has the brake signal and the turn signal light up independently of each other. Typically, the turn signal is amber.
To keep the separate lighting system on your car functioning properly while you're flat towing, add a wiring converter (118158 - sold separately) and 2 additional diodes.
If the engine is off and your car's brake lights illuminate when you press the brake pedal, you need to install a brake light relay (RM-88400 - sold separately) with this kit. Without a relay, your car's brake signal will override the turn signal sent by the RV when you are slowing down to make a turn, creating a potentially dangerous situation. Other drivers will see that you're slowing down, but not that you're making a turn. With a brake light relay, you can signal both and travel safely.

The wiring kit is SHORT!!
It lacks 3’ in making it to the baseplate.
I was concerned when I received it and noticed the box indicated it was for a Jeep JL which is a bit shorter than a gladiator.
The fix is to splice the harness, what a horrible situation!

getting feedback from tail light and blinkers to braking system on toad vehicle while towing causing brakes on toad vehicle not to dis-engage when brakes released , had to remove harness and install a different model with better diodes to make system work
Simple and easy purchase process. The installation of the Curt custom tail light wiring kit was almost as simple and easy as the purchase. etrailer is great!
This harness won’t function correctly on a 2024 jeep wrangler Sahara. It works for some time then starts doing really strange stuff.. says the drives rear turn signal is out and turns it off. Unplugged the aftermarket harness and all works correctly again. Contacted Curt tech support and they sent me a completely new harness, but it exhibited the exact same failure mode. Ultimately purchased the Mopar harness for about 4 times the price , but everything works correctly from the start. The curt harness needs to go back for more engineering.. Their customer service is great though??
When I received the wiring kit and had it partially installed I noticed that the 4 way flat connector had been cut off the wiring. As I said I had the kit mostly installed if not I would have sent the wiring kit back to e-trailer. The wire was not rolled and bound with wire ties as shown in the e trailers video. This kit was probably a return from a previous buyer. This caused me to splice the wires to add the connector and this was my sole reason for purchasing the kit, idid not want any spliced wires. Very dissatisfied with this product.
Would have paid more for better quality. Shielded cable would have been a better choice to run from the taillights to the front. Would have appreciated an extra 4’ of cable instead of the 3’ add on. Overall it works as listed.
Super easy installation. This is the third vehicle I have wired for towing and this was by far the simplest.

This wiring harness is still going strong! I haven’t had any issues with my lights not working while towing or the vehicle lights when not towing.
hardest part was running the wires along the frame rail,other than that i love the fact that i didn't have to cut or splice wires !
Very easy to install. The wire ran straight through the box frame from back to front, making it truly plug-and-play
I have a JT I felt it was a little short on cable length since the JT is 2 ft longer the four door jeeps
Maybe they should have made it long enough for the JT and have extra slack for the four door jeeps
It works but I will need to extend to cable to get closer to the tow bar connection

Worked perfectly. Plugs right into factory light connections, no cutting or splicing, ran harness through the frame to the front and connected 6 way plug. Great choice.
I liked the quick connect tail light plugs. I was very disappointed that the wire harness going from the back of my gladiator was too short. I took careful measures to make certain not to route the wire poorly so I wouldn’t have any length issues. Unfortunately that didn’t work out. I ended up having to splice the 4 way to reach the middle of my front bumper so I could complete the job. That harness needs to be 4 feet longer for gladiators. Buyers this is a nice harness but beware it poses problems with length. There is no way to properly route this harness without adding to it’s overall length.
Straight forward install, took a little time to fish the wiring to the taillight sockets.
The product was exactly as advertised. It was processed in a timely manner. However due delays in shipping by usps. It took 13 days to arrive. The initial estimate was 5 to 7 days . I was forced to miss a trip due to the delay. When I contacted etrailer and asked for another item to be shipped by a ups I was informed I would have to wait at least 14 business days. I am a frequent customer but this experience has me rethinking using etrailer in the future due the customer service unwilling to flex a little
Very good product and was easy to install. It was a 1 to 1.5 hour project without the use of a vehicle lift.
Came sooner than expected. Everything seems to be there. Will have it installed in a couple wedks

It is still working great. No problems
This kit does a good job. Wish it had a protective sheathing wrapped around it for added protection. Was just long enough to reach the front of our jeep gladiator.
Worked as advertised would buy it again
Easy to use. Working great for over a year of full time use.
Product was excellent as advertised however installation instructions could be better with clearer pictures. Routing of wiring at rear of vehicle has many options however one route gives the safest and easiest to install.
