Plug-and-play custom harness gets turn and brake signals on your towed car with no hardwiring or splicing, and no effect on your warranty. The built-in diodes protect your car from electrical feedback.

A combined lighting system, or 2-wire system, uses the same light bulb to signal both braking and turning. (In other words, the car signals a turn by flashing the brake light.)
A separate lighting system, or 3-wire system, has the brake signal and the turn signal light up independently of each other. Typically, the turn signal is amber.
To keep the separate lighting system on your car functioning properly while you're flat towing, add a wiring converter (118158 - sold separately) and 2 additional diodes.
If the engine is off and your car's brake lights illuminate when you press the brake pedal, you need to install a brake light relay (RM-88400 - sold separately) with this kit. Without a relay, your car's brake signal will override the turn signal sent by the RV when you are slowing down to make a turn, creating a potentially dangerous situation. Other drivers will see that you're slowing down, but not that you're making a turn. With a brake light relay, you can signal both and travel safely.

Product was excellent as advertised however installation instructions could be better with clearer pictures. Routing of wiring at rear of vehicle has many options however one route gives the safest and easiest to install.
Easy to install, works great on my 2023 Jeep Gladiator with LED taillights!
This is the Fourth one that we have installed. Easy installation and worked as expected. Great company and quick delivery.
In spite of a few negative comments, this harness install on a 2025 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited was super easy and straight forward. Fit the application well. Plenty of wire lengths and easy connections. Works well after testing, will see about longevity as time goes.

2025 jeep wrangler,
getting feedback from tail light and blinkers to braking system on toad vehicle while towing causing brakes on toad vehicle not to dis-engage when brakes released , had to remove harness and install a different model with better diodes to make system work
That model specific light harness is awesome. Worked great in my Wrangler JLU.

The wiring kit is SHORT!!
It lacks 3’ in making it to the baseplate.
I was concerned when I received it and noticed the box indicated it was for a Jeep JL which is a bit shorter than a gladiator.
The fix is to splice the harness, what a horrible situation!
Simple and easy purchase process. The installation of the Curt custom tail light wiring kit was almost as simple and easy as the purchase. etrailer is great!

The Curt custom tail light wiring kit is still working great!
This harness won’t function correctly on a 2024 jeep wrangler Sahara. It works for some time then starts doing really strange stuff.. says the drives rear turn signal is out and turns it off. Unplugged the aftermarket harness and all works correctly again. Contacted Curt tech support and they sent me a completely new harness, but it exhibited the exact same failure mode. Ultimately purchased the Mopar harness for about 4 times the price , but everything works correctly from the start. The curt harness needs to go back for more engineering.. Their customer service is great though??

Great purchase! Made for a very clean installation on my 2022 Gladiator Rubi. Other reviewers indicated that they ran short on wire length. Mine was close, but I had enough length from back to front by installing a very straight shot down the inside of the driver’s side frame rail.
When I received the wiring kit and had it partially installed I noticed that the 4 way flat connector had been cut off the wiring. As I said I had the kit mostly installed if not I would have sent the wiring kit back to e-trailer. The wire was not rolled and bound with wire ties as shown in the e trailers video. This kit was probably a return from a previous buyer. This caused me to splice the wires to add the connector and this was my sole reason for purchasing the kit, idid not want any spliced wires. Very dissatisfied with this product.
Two issues with the wiring harness. First, didn’t need the additional plug in for a rear light outlet. I feel that just gives it a possibility of a future issue. And Second, my main issue is this wiring harness is listed as compatible for the 2025 Gladiator. The lead wire from the tail light to the front of the vehicle for connecting to the flat tow 6 way plug is about 3 feet too short. It only follows the frame to the point of the wiper reserve. Then you are out of wire. It doesn’t reach the front bumper to connect to the 6 way plug. Very disappointed I had to another section of 4 way wires to complete the job.
Worked great with my 2020 jeep wrangler rubicon.
Would have paid more for better quality. Shielded cable would have been a better choice to run from the taillights to the front. Would have appreciated an extra 4’ of cable instead of the 3’ add on. Overall it works as listed.
Super easy installation. This is the third vehicle I have wired for towing and this was by far the simplest.

This wiring harness is still going strong! I haven’t had any issues with my lights not working while towing or the vehicle lights when not towing.
I have a JT I felt it was a little short on cable length since the JT is 2 ft longer the four door jeeps
Maybe they should have made it long enough for the JT and have extra slack for the four door jeeps
It works but I will need to extend to cable to get closer to the tow bar connection

hardest part was running the wires along the frame rail,other than that i love the fact that i didn't have to cut or splice wires !

It has been working just fine. We have towed our Jeep many miles over the past year - probably close to 10,000 miles without a single problem.
Very easy to install. The wire ran straight through the box frame from back to front, making it truly plug-and-play
