Recommended Flat Tow Wiring Harness for a 2025 Jeep Gladiator

Updated 04/23/2026 | Published 04/21/2026

Question:

I need a flat tow wiring harness for my 2025 Jeep Gladiator like the one Blue Ox sells with the diode already in line but says it doesn’t fit. Which one do I need? I don’t want to cut the factory wires to tie-in the diodes. Do I even need the diodes if I’m running the Patriot braking system? Thanks

Hey Fred, welcome back. There is no flat towing wiring harness with built in diodes that doesn't require splicing into your Gladiator's lights. You will definitely need the diodes regardless of what flat tow braking system you're using. The diodes separate your turn and brake signals so the individual functions work correctly while connected to your RV. They also prevent feedback.

I have two options for wiring harnesses that I recommend for your 2025 Jeep Gladiator. They come with the necessary diodes, wiring, and connectors. You will have to splice into your Gladiator's factory wiring but I linked a couple of installation videos below that'll show you how. Which harness you need is going to depend on whether or not you have the Parksense feature.

With Parksense - Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights item # RM63MR

Without Parksense - Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles item # RM-15267

Please note that the only custom fit plug in wiring harness available for your Jeep item # C96JR also requires you to splice in diodes to the factory wiring.

Another option to avoid splicing into your Gladiator's wiring is to use the Demco LED Tow Light Bar for Towed Vehicles w/ Wireless Transmitter item # DM36MV. It's wireless so the light bar will be powered by your Gladiator's cigarette lighter or the item # RM-9332 if yours only has USB ports. The other end would plug into your motorhome's 7-way.

What kind of motorhome do you have and does it have a 7-way or 4-way connector?

The C96jR states in the features that it has the diodes built in. I called Curt and they verified that. I’ll be using a patriot braking system in the towed vehicle

@FredN My jeep doesn’t have led lights so the diodes are still required?

Hi Fred, I have a 2024 Wrangler Rubicon 4XE. I did install the RoadMaster smart diode kit. It does require cutting the factory tail light wiring. Worked as designed. You can use a tail light kit which will do the tail light job, however will require external wires to be installed and deinstalled each time the vehicle is disconnected. Hope this helps George
