Will Curt Tail Light Kit C96JR Work On A 2025 jeep Wrangler Sahara With LED Lights And ParkSense?

I am totally confused. I thought the Curt Tail light kit C96JR was all I needed for my 2025 Jeep Wrangler Sarah with LED lights and ParkSense Option. In reading all the Qs now I am at a loss. Do I need RM47ZR Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit for variable Voltage LED tail lights? Do I need RM88400 Brake Light Relay? I do use the Blue Ox Patriot 3 Brake System. I really thought the C96JR Curt was a one and done, all I needed. What else do I need and why? Please help. Thank you

Hey Geary, thanks for reaching out. Yes, you are going to need a smart diode kit here. The Curt # C96JR kit does fit the 2025 Wrangler, but it isn't compatible with models with ParkSense. For that you'll need the following:
- Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights - 7-Way to 6-Way Adapter Cord # RM63MR
This is the complete kit that comes with the diodes, wiring, coiled cable and 6-pin plug for the front of the jeep.
The brake light relay # RM-88400 is only needed if the cars brake lights illuminate when you press the brake pedal with the engine off, so I do recommend checking that and ordering one if needed.
I also recommend installing a charge line kit # RM-156-25, since your Blue Ox braking system does pull a bit of power from the battery. That'll cover all the necessary electrical components.

I have a 2025 Rubicon with same options. You definitely need the diode kit and I’d also highly recommend the charging kit to ensure you don’t arrive with a dead battery in your Sahara! They’re both easy to install if done step by step with help from the videos. I’d recommend a good crimper and heat shrink connectors to ensure long lasting trouble free towing. I installed the Smart Diode kit on my 2021 Sahara with LED lights and Park Sense! I installation was pretty straight forward! I recommend you install the charge line kit, at same time, as you can conect it straight to the 6 pin connector. I didn’t have to install the brake relay on mine but check your lights as your may be different! Watching and following e-trailers videos make it pretty easy to do this yourself! Since i am using a Brake buddy that has to be plugged into 12v outlet, I installed a 12v outlet connected straight to battery, and ran it through firewall and tucked the outlet behind trim on drivers side just beside the brake! This lets me plug in brake system without having to have ignition on to power the 12v outlet!
