Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

First spare became replacement for a major blowout rolling down I95 NY to Florida. South Carolina I95 so bad, parts are coming off semi trucks. Missed with my truck, but cut tire down to wheel on tread and both side walls. Having the first etrailer spare ready was super! I did try to find the Karrier tire locally, but ended up back at etrailer. Fast delivery, great price and now with a new spare! Great job you guys.
I needed tires so I went with these. Galvanized wheels are durable, carefree, and look good, especially with the etrailer chrome lug nuts that I added. Mounting took a bit more to snug than I expected. Towing with new radial tires is a double, maybe triple wow. Really smooth ride and towing seemed effortless. I averaged a wee bit more than a 3 mile per gallon mileage increase towing empty and about half that towing with a load. Makes you wonder why I put off getting new tires. etrailer made this easy and the support helped me resolve my concerns about keeping the bias ply spare. All in all, a great transaction, a great product, and an easy ordering process. Could not have got them any faster if I purchased them locally. You can tell that I'm happy..
Wheels made a nice improvement. They are hot dipped, not a polished wheel. Used on Tahoe single axle boat trailer rated at 3400LB.
I did an axle over/under conversion and added these new wheels and tires. The galvanizing isn't the prettiest, but they look fine. They have performed well. With about 4500 miles on them, they still look good and perform perfectly.
Nice tires/wheels (tires manufactured 37th week of 2021). Delivered 6 days early! This my second time ordering 4 wheels and tires from etrailer. The old tires/wheels are still in good shape but 4 years is my limit of use on the boat trailer -changing a tire 3ft off the road with interstate/turnpike traffic flying by is something I will try to avoid. Very convenient and worth the money to have tires already mounted delivered to my door.

A great set of wheelstires. I’m actually still using the now 5 years old set of wheelsKenda tires for parking the boat and short trips. Using the new 1 year old set for long trips.
Terrible tire. Barely two months old and exploded on the interstate in route on a fishing trip. Ruined my bearings, totally screwed up my trip and cost me about $[XX] for roadside service and repair. DON’T BUY!!!

One small good thing is that these tires come with a warranty. I will make sure we get you that information.
I finally got the new trailer tires installed. The etrailer sizing chart helped out to be a great tool. I wasn't to sure what to order at first but after carefully measuring the stud distance I completed the tire order. I am ready to take the boat out as soon as the weather calms down here in Boca Raton, FL.
Great price, service and free shipping! I used them on my boat trailer on a trip from north Idaho to Alaska. No problems and they worked great!!!

Drove my boat trailer, with these tires and wheels, from Idaho to Alaska without a problem and still going strong
Recently went on a family trip and took our boat. On our way home, about an hour out - we had a tire blow out on the boat trailer…and after changing it - a second blow out about twenty miles from home. It was after 9PM on a Sunday so not wanting to leave my boat on the side of the highway I moved the remaining tires around, strapped the front axle up on the side lacking a tire and limped it home on back roads on 3. Never again will I go on a long trip with only 1 spare!!! Having great experiences with etrailer in the past - it was my first stop. I ordered this as a universal/secon spare and it was on my doorstep on Tuesday. I can now throw it in the bed of my truck and have a second spare for longer trips! Price was right and seems like a good quality product that I hope I never have to use!

Quick, quality purchase as always. Got this for our boat trailer spare for the trip to North Fort Myers Florida for the winter. We will be wintering in our NY house. North Fort home was totaled by hurricane Ian. Prayers up for all our Florida friends and neighbors. Many lost their primary homes. Be Strong Florida. America is pulling for you!
The packaging and shipping time was great. However, the wheels look like they had started to rust and then painted over. I didn’t expect the wheels to appear to have rust before they were removed from the boxes.

Thank you for your review! If you are concerned about the wheel rusting, I just wanted to share a link to an article with tips and tricks to prevent rust. And I also wanted to note that the galvanized finish can have a rough or uneven texture to it which may explain the texture you are seeing. I hope this helps!

Bought to use as a spare tire for my boat trailer. Fits perfect!
Tires arrived on time and ready to install. There was a small spot of galvanizing build-up on the back side of 1 rim but you don't see it from the front. Perfect for a boat trailer and have a great load rating. My boat weights 3700 lbs. and it trailers awesome.
Great service, fast delivery. Would give 5 stars but the tire have a manufacture date of 2722 (June 2022) and I received them in July 2023 so the tires are already one year old. Of course with trailer tires they rarely wear out but need to be changed due to age. The tires these are replacing have lots of tread left but they are 6 yesrs old.

----I liked that the DOT date code on the tires shipped to me was with the last few months.
Problems:
---One of the rims was bent when I got it. I believe it was a manufacturing defect. The good news is that the return and exchange with etrailer was very easy. Unfortunately the replacement wheel/tire they sent me was bent as well. So they processed a 2nd return for me and sent me a replacement.
I think the quality control on the 'stamping' or fabricating of the wheels is lacking. So I would ask that customers check the wheels on receiving them.

I bought a Loadstar 205/75R14 Radial tire/galvanized wheel assembly along with a U-Bolt type attachment as a spare for my aluminum trailer. I've had good luck with the quality of etrailer items so far and didn't want a cheaper spare tire from an unknown/fake lable manufacturer that you can sometimes get from a certain prime warehouse outfit on the internet. It all seems good but hopefully won't have to find out how good the tire is anytime soon. I do love the photos of the folks at etrailer who process the order as well as the map visual of the shipping progress. A nice touch and shows the attention to detail and quality etrailer gives to their product, services, and customers. Thanks

I wanted larger tires and wheels on my UTV Trailer as I felt that the 13" tires that came on the trailer were inadequate. While shopping online I came across the etrailer.com website. It was very easy to compare various tire and wheel combinations and find the one that was right for me. I ordered 3 Karrier ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tires mounted on 14" Galvanized Wheels. The 3 tire/wheel combos showed up on my doorstep 4 business days later and were undamaged, neatly packaged in individual tire boxes. I installed the 14" tires on my UTV Trailer today and am very pleased with the results. The new tires did make my trailer ride higher so it was necessary for me to adjust the Ball Mount on the back of my motorhome so that the trailer tows level. I have some long trips planned in the near future so I will be able to assess the performance of the Karrier tires as the miles accumulate.

Great tire wheel combo has went from spare to in service. Ordered another recently to go into standby position. As trailer tires for our boat have exploded, went out of round, we have replaced them at etrailer. etrailer has provided many tires and other products for us and all have performed perfectly! Delivery even faster than the big A. Great job...!
