This Yakima BaseLine setup gives you everything you need to add cargo space to a vehicle without factory rails. The system includes two JetStream aluminum crossbars, four BaseLine towers, and a custom fit kit. It's built for solid, secure mounting on naked roofs so you can load up confidently for road trips or weekends outdoors.
The aerodynamic shape of the JetStream crossbars helps reduce drag and wind noise on the highway. Rubber strips sit in the top channels to smooth airflow and limit vibration, keeping things quieter during long drives. The clean, black aluminum bars measure 50" long x 2-3/4" wide x 1-1/8" tall, giving you sturdy performance with a sleek look.
Mounting accessories is simple thanks to Yakima’s push-down rubber strip design. Instead of cutting strips to fit your carriers, just press the hardware into the top channels and the strips close back around them. It keeps the channels sealed against wind and weather while saving setup time.
These aero-style bars work with accessories that mount in the top channels or clamp around the bars. That means you can use them with most universal cargo boxes, kayak holders, bike racks, or snow carriers without hunting for special adapters. With a 165-lb weight capacity (always follow your vehicle’s roof load limit), you’ve got room for gear no matter where you’re headed.
For extra peace of mind when parking at trailheads or hotels, this rack is compatible with Yakima’s Same Key System (SKS) lock cores, sold separately. They help deter theft by letting you secure your rack components with one key set so your setup stays right where you left it.

Tghe racks have remained on since I installed them correctly, no thanks to your video. I read the manual it came with.
