This Yakima BaseLine setup gives you everything you need to carry gear on a naked roof—two 50" JetStream crossbars, four BaseLine towers, and a custom fit kit. The aluminum construction is solid and holds up to 165 lbs of gear, so you can load up with confidence for long trips or weekend adventures. Whether it’s kayaks, cargo boxes, or camping supplies, the sturdy design keeps your load secure mile after mile.
Nobody likes that constant wind whistle when driving with a roof rack. These aero-style crossbars are shaped to cut through the air and reduce drag. The rubber strips fill in the top channels to help minimize wind noise and vibration while also sealing out weather. The quieter ride makes those long drives a lot more enjoyable.
Some racks make you trim rubber strips before mounting accessories—this one doesn’t. The JetStream bars use push-down rubber strips that let you press hardware right into the channels without cutting anything. Once the gear is installed, the strips close back up around it for a smooth look and better wind performance. It’s a smart design that keeps loading simple and frustration-free.
These crossbars are compatible with most universal cargo, water, snow, and bike carriers that mount in top channels or clamp around the bars. That means you can use the same rack for your kayaks in summer, skis in winter, or a cargo box for family trips. It’s one setup ready for all kinds of outdoor gear.
If you want theft deterrence, you can add Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores (sold separately). They secure the towers so your rack stays put when you leave your vehicle parked overnight or at a trailhead. It’s an easy upgrade that adds peace of mind on every trip.

Tghe racks have remained on since I installed them correctly, no thanks to your video. I read the manual it came with.
