If you're lifting a heavy load, you want to keep yourself and your equipment safe. The built-in handbrake will lock the lever so the load stays in place.
The slotted screw holes on the winch give you lots of leeway for where and how you can mount it. It's easy to replace your old hand winch, even if it's from a different brand like Fulton or Dutton-Lainson.
This steel winch is zinc plated to prevent rust and corrosion. Salt-spray tested to 600 hours, it will have no problem handling water, whether that's on a boat trailer or out in the rain.
